From the pier, house patio deck, or the large yard on the bayou you can take in the beautiful views of the bayou and all that the Bayou Life has to offer. Don't be fooled by other listings in the area that aren't even near the water or is a house crammed together with many other houses on a man made canal with only the view of houses next to, across, and behind you. Our fishing guides pick you up right from the back door on the largest dock in the area. Relax, drink your coffee on the dock as the sun rises, and step straight on to the boat. We are at the end of the Lafitte/Barataria area so the boat ride to your fishing hole is that much closer. After booking contact us and we will arrange the perfect fishing and Bayou Life experience. We can also set up swamp tours, boating excursions, sunset wine cruises, and morning breakfast excursion by boat to a local restaurant on a barge. The home is completely equipped with BBQ, smoker, fire pit, and patio furniture for a relaxing and enjoyable Bayou Life experience. Kitchen is completely stocked with all the pots, pans, utensils, and gadgets you could want as well as an extensive amount of spices, condiments, salad dressings, and much more so you don't have to waste time and money at the grocery store. Even has a boiling pot setup to boil up seafood. And if that wasn't enough there are kayaks, crab traps, and fishing poles for your use. If you choose to hit Bourbon Street and do a little partying don't worry about driving....No problem getting to and from the New Orleans French Quarter....I have several Uber drivers on call and ready to take you to and from the New Orleans French Quarter or anywhere in New Orleans at any time of the day or night. Boat may be kept during your stay in water tied to dock. Dock is equipped with ropes, cleats, and bumpers. Plenty of parking available for many cars, boats on trailers, RVs, and motorhomes. The home was spacious and there were plenty of beds for everyone to sleep comfortably. The views were beautiful and we enjoyed the grill for burgers. The listing already seemed like it was too good to be true, but then they still exceeded our expectations. The host was very responsive and helpful. They really thought of everything to make our stay wonderful. The only thing we would have changed was making it a longer trip. From this wonderful house we went on local airboat tour, fishing trip where we were picked up from the dock, went into New Orleans and visited plantations. It was always great come ‘home’. The house is beautiful, roomy and a quiet location to just unwind and enjoy the simple life. The owners are great folks with many suggestions of places to eat great food and activities to explore the bayou. Fishing is top notch we filled coolers with lots of nice fish. Mr. Richard's crab farm is a must see we really enjoyed visiting him and learning what it takes to get soft crabs to the table. We will definitely be back to stay at bayou life. Everything recommended was fun to do. The only thing that we would have changed , we wish we had more time to stay and do more things in the area. Within an hour of the house there is probably a months worth of things to see and do. And to try all the food around is impossible. ##### Jodi B. My oldest son wanted to come fishing for his bachelor party weekend. Although the fishing was difficult due to weather, the house was very comfortable and exactly as described. The guys tried the crab traps, fished, and kayaked in the bayou. It was comfortable for everyone to stay and enjoy some guy time together. Thank you for sharing your house with us. ##### Eric B. House has everything you need, just bring the groceries and detergents for laundry. Beds are comfy and the house is roomy with large bedrooms. We caught tons of fish and 5 crabs(just wanted to try it). Host was awesome, he checked in with us to make sure everything was great and even gave us local shrimp which were the best we have EVER had.. ##### Santos R. Morgan is an exceptional host. He connected us with a fishing charter captain who picked us up right from the dock of which has good fishing. Kitchen well stocked with every tool you might need. Location is nice tucket away from busy area but close enough to get to it really quick. Host is great at answering questions or helping with suggestions in the area. Cons-while house has lots of beds there really isn’t enough glass wear or plates for large group. Also seats in main area are also not enough for large groups. Kitchen table is very high and has tall bar stools. Looks nice but not very practical. ##### john k. It had everything we needed. It was our home away from home. It wasn't too far from the city and had lots of things to do in the area. I would recommend. We enjoyed our time. Our plan was to bring our boat for a short fishing trip, but our boat broke down right before our visit. I mentioned it to Morgan and he offered to reach out to Big Dog Charters, I'm so thankful that they were able to accommodate our group and we fished all day!
