Located off of Bridge Street on a private way, the house is a three minute walk to the harbor, shops and restaurants. A two minute walk to Frenchmen's Bay and at low tide you can walk across the sand bar (hence the name Bar Harbor) to Bar Island (part of Acadia). Two parking places allows you to leave the car behind when you explore and enjoy Bar Harbor. Eat inside or outside as the house has a patio with furniture and an outdoor grill. However we would not choose to stay here again unless some items are addressed by the host. The box spring of the queen size bed seemed to be broken, making a very loud sound at the slightest movement. And the door of the bedroom with the two twin size beds didn’t close. Our daughter had to rest her suitcase against the door to keep it closed. Also, there was a family staying in the apartment above and we were woken up by them walking around each morning, so it would be very helpful if the owner of the above apartment gets more carpeting, etc so that the sound doesn’t carry as much. ##### Bilyana D.
