Spacious and Comfortable
Similar to a hotel suite, with the exception that we had to supply our own bedding (sleeping bags) and towels and wash cloths (packed in luggage). Quite spacious and comfortable. We would consider another stay in the future.

Would not recommend
Rented a cabin for the long weekend. NOT what we expected based on the online pics of the cabins. Did not have the "Maine cabin" vibe at all - more like 1980s RV interior design. Vertical blinds on sliding doors were missing some sections so no real privacy. Bed was very uncomfortable. Hot water lasted about 3 mins, so showering or washing dishes was tricky - to say the least. Not so friendly RV "neighbors" who felt it ok to have a projected light show, and be loud and obnoxious past 10 pm. We visited during "off-peak" season - cannot imagine what this campground is like during high-season.

Great place for family. Fire pit along with privacy made it special. Only downside for us was not ready to supply our on sheets and extra blanket gor sofa bed. Otherwise great stay and anout 30 minutes away from Acadia.

The bed mattress was HORRIBLE! It should have been replaced many years ago. We could feel springs if the mattress and sunk towards the middle when laying down. VERY uncomfortable. Otherwise cottage was great, and very clean.

Great place and great price! But when they say no linens, they mean ABSOLUTELY NO LINENS. No blankets, no pillows, no nothing. I am used to no linens meaning no sheets, but still having a comforter or something, but this was an absolutely blank slate.
Other than that it was great! Just remember to bring pillows and blankets.

Review of apartments at campground
We stayed in the apartments at the campground. Full kitchen, cable tv, wifi. Full sized bed and two full sized futons in livingroom. Everything was super clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Campground and swimming area appeared very clean. We will be back!
The apartment was basic. It was clean, had a full fridge and stove with a gas grill on the porch The mattress was comfortable but the futon could have used a new mattress. It had chairs on the deck but it would have been nice to have a small side table to place drinks etc on. There was a beach, kayaks for rent and had a playground for the kids I enjoyed my stay
We stayed in one of the onsite apts. No linens (bedsheets, towels, pillows, blankets, etc) are provided, and they were very good at communicating that. We brought in our own, which was actually quite nice. Refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave. Silverware and dishes were provided, as well as rudimentary cooking utensils and pans. The Pond is really - to this city girl - a large and beautiful lake. Gorgeous views on the water.

Must be self sufficient...
This is an awesome campground if you have a camper and are self sufficient. For us we flew from Georgia & rented one of the cabins by the lake. I had read “no linens for beds” & Even though it was inconvenient with us flying I packed bed linens for both beds & brought with me. We were excited about having a cabin by the lake. When we arrived the staff was super nice & awesome. They were even super nice to suggest fun things to do around town. Everything around the campground looked great but when we got to our cabin .. no linens means nothing!! No sheets, no towels, no wash cloths, No Pillows, No Blankets... there is nothing !! So unless you can bring everything with you don’t stay. Flying in made it way to difficult to provide all this ourselves. They should also hire an exterminator. I realize it’s a cabin by the lake but I killed more bugs inside than outside. My daughter & I both woke up our first morning eaten alive by what we’re guessing looks like spider bites. We each had 6-7 bites upon waking up all itchy & red whelps. We were super uncomfortable & disappointed during our stay. For what we spent on this cabin we could have been at a decent hotel with free breakfast, a pillow & a warm blanket & no spiders. I would only suggest for those tent camping or bringing your camper. You MUST be self sufficient even down to your pillow.
We rented a cabin, and we we're pleasently surprised! The cabin was equiped with a microwave, a small TV and most importantly a fridge. We will most definetly recommend this camping, and hopely come back very soon!
We rented one bedroom Apartment. There website doesn't have any pic of the inside of the apartment so we called the management office to find the details. We also told them that we will reach late on the day of our check-in. They left the key in a box outside the management office. They also added directions to our apartment which was close by. GPS(garmin) didn't have any problem in locating the problem but if you are using google maps make sure you put "Patten Pond Camping Resort" and not the actual resort address.
Apartment was very clean and the maple tree outside the apartment was in full glory. It was equipped with full kitchen and a big bathroom. TV had a lot of channels. They can probably work on the mattress in the bedroom. That's not of good quality. Room was heated by a heating device located in living room due to this bedroom may get chilly in night. At the Management office Barbara and Harry both were very courteous and helpful. I will stay again there if I ever visit Acadia.
Great way to camp without needing to set up a tent or haul a trailer. Cabin slept 5.. with a full size bed under single bunk on one side with a single bunk on the other. Small fridge worked well.. We were and easy walk to the bathrooms / showers and play area.. Nice Like
Cabin #1 is equipped with 2 bunks, one with queen bottom, mini fridge, microwav, Mini TV, small electric fan. Reasonably clean toilets and showers in bathhouse a short walk away. Friendly staff. Easy check-in check- out if you are coming/going outside of staffed hours (9 to 6). It is very nice camping, not to be confused for hotel!
Great place. We took the cabin and came with 3 small kids and a baby. The cabin was very big and clean. The kitchen is big and have everything you need.
The place is very quiet with playground for the kids and a nice beach to swim at the pond.
We will definitely come back again!
The place is gorgeous and super clean. The staff is marvelous! Barbara and her husband were very attentive and pleasant to our family. We rented 4 cabins and all of them were in great conditions and had amenities that worked well. The lake in this facility is amazingly beautiful and they have kayaks and small boats you can rent. Everything was wonderful! Great stay!
i was told that wifi is free but it wasn't. They charge $10 something for week. I was told I'll get grill but grill wasn't present. The per day charge was $94, the campground on the day of arrival made it $99.99. But nice location and pleasant stay overall.
Since it has 2 1/2 stars and relatively cheap our expectation was not that high, but it exceeded our exception. great location, great service and clean and comfy room.
