We were greeted warmly. The accommodations were very clean and cozy. Three miles from the town of Bar Harbor made this very convenient for eating and sightseeing. Very pleased.

We stayed in the Deer Path apartment. The location was ideal for trips to Bar Harbor and taking advantage of all Acadia has to offer. To say the property is dog- friendly is an understatement! Everything was very clean and convenient. Highly recommend.

We had a great week staying at Steve and Marilyn’s property. They were both excellent hosts and attentive to any of our needs or requests. The location was nestled in the woods on the mountain side and super accommodating to our golden retriever. The apartment was spacious and well appointed. The location was strategically located in the middle of the overall park area with quick access to Bar Harbor, the Loop Road in the park proper, or in the opposite direction to points of interest on the western side of MDI. We explored them all and had a great vacation. Wouldn’t hesitate to return in the future.

The location of the property is amazing, central to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Only one bedroom has air conditioning so we were not able to shut the bedroom door for privacy. Second bedroom that has two beds must walk through primary bedroom (including bathroom trips in the middle of the night). There is no counter space in the bathroom for toiletries. Water pressure was great. Fresh well water was nice. Couch in living room had dog odor. We enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed. We would stay here again and recommend to others with this information.

My husband & I along with our 4 children and 2 goldendoodles loved our week here! Everything was clean & just as described! We felt very safe & comfortable during our stay! The fenced in yard with baby gate on deck made it convenient for our dogs to go in & out while we were home. The dog park area was wonderful to let them play ball & enjoy off leash time. Marilyn was super friendly & even gifted our dogs each a new dog toy! Will highly recommend to friends & family! It’s cozy like a cabin but has WiFi & comforts of a home (especially important to our teens). Thanks again for making our 1st trip to Maine so memorable! ❤️ The Murphy family from Maryland. See you next time!!

Start to finish, this is one of the best rentals I have EVER done. The beds were literally the most comfortable thing I’ve ever slept in. I didn’t even want to get out of bed each morning. Memory foam mattress AND pillows (seriously, I need to find out where Marilyn bought them!). The kitchen was super well equipped and had plenty of storage space for what we brought. There are actually 3 queen beds, but I think the listing says 2. This is located with the borders of Acadia, but not walking distance to most of the trails, more like a 10-20 minute drive, depending where you want to go. Nice dog run across the little parking lot. Marilyn’s son is around to answer questions, but she is responsive too. My daughter got to play with Ian’s son and their dogs with our dog as well. Just the best. Thank you, Ryan Estates. My whole family had such a blast.

My hubby and I pulled up to the Ryan's home and were greeted by a friendly Marilyn in the driveway. She showed us to our apartment called DeerPath that we had rented for the 3rd week in August. Nice place, neat, clean, and very close to carriage trail access (Eagle Lake) and Bar Harbor. It was close to all, but nice and QUIET! We enjoyed breakfast in the am and cocktails in the pm on our deck with the sun. They are dog friendly as all of the 3 other apartment/bungalow guests had their puppies. They have fenced in areas for pups to do their business too. We recommend staying here if you like privacy away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds during the summmer, not to mention hosts that will take care of anything you may need! PS They do have laundry machines/dryers to use that are $1 per load...make sure you have quarters! That's all I have, overall just a great place to stay!

One of the rooms was 6’ in height & tiny. My son is 6’3” & he had to stoop to get into his bed. The whole place was tiny- more like a cabin. It was really overpriced for how cramped it was. We would never stay there again.

The apartment is a perfect getaway for a small group. Everything was clean, beds super comfortable and hosts were easy to deal with and great to chat with. Location is perfect.... under 10 min to bar harbor and less than a mile to eagle lake and the carriage roads. Bar harbor is less than 10 min so you can enjoy downtown quickly and then get away from the crowds. We will stay again.... one minor thing to be aware. The second bedroom is accessed through the first so make sure your roommates are heavy sleepers for middle of the night bathroom breaks :)

We stayed for over a week and this property was in a perfect location next to Bar Harbor, Acadia, and many other small coastal towns in Maine. We loved be able to hike right into Acadia.
