Cadillac Mountain, the highest peak on the U.S. East Coast, offers a spectacular sunrise that draws visitors year-round. The town itself boasts a lively atmosphere, with quaint shops, art galleries, and top-notch seafood restaurants lining its historic streets. Visitors can enjoy freshly caught lobster, take a stroll along the scenic Shore Path, or embark on a whale-watching cruise from Frenchman Bay. Bar Harbor is also home to a rich history, once serving as a summer retreat for America’s elite, including the Rockefellers and Vanderbilts. Parking is available for free on the street. The \`Island Explorer\` Bus that travels the island can be accessed with a short 2min walk. Walking to downtown is very easy with the location of the unit. There is a small 3ft x 4ft mudroom that is shared between the upstairs and downstairs units. Registration number VR1R2503 \-Please note that you must be out of the Unit by 10:15AM the LATEST. You will receive a $150 fee if you are out of the unit later than 10:15AM and will be charged an additional $50 for every 15minute interval that you are late after that. We have had problems with guests leaving late in the past and need to make sure that our cleaning team has enough time to properly clean the unit before the next guests arrive. \-No pets are allowed in the unit. You will be charged a $400 Pet Fee if you are caught with a pet in the unit \-No parties or events are allowed in the unit. The property is just right I size and is in a nice quiet neighborhood. We walked to restaurants, the local Hannaford grocery store and sites. The tip to stop in Ellsworth for provisions on the way to Mt Desert Island was a good tip provided by the property manager. Initially we wanted to book something somewhere in more of a woodsy area a little hesitant to book in a residential area. We were very happy with our choice. The location could not have been more perfect. We walked everywhere in town and did not need to deal with the hassle of parking. Acadia National Park sites are a few minutes away. We could easily go somewhere in the morning and come back and walk somewhere else in the afternoon without constantly having to plan how we were going to get places. The apartment was spotless and had everything that we needed. The area was very quiet, I sometimes wondered if the neighbors were even home. It’s in a quiet neighborhood yet within walking distance to downtown Bar Harbor. We choose this place because of that plus the outdoor seating area. It has a nice balcony with comfortable chairs.
