It is easy to get everywhere on the island but also only 15 minutes to Ellsworth for a large grocery store or a movie theater on a rainy day. It is a quick walk to a rocky beach just down the street and less than 2 miles from the best lobster on the island. The Travelling Lobster is not to be missed! The house itself was very comfortable. It is hard to find a place that works for every age from grandparents to small children. This did that and made our trip so special. You can tell they really take care of this house and stay here also.My only complaint is that there wasn’t a couch or comfortable chairs to sit in on the main floor. Honestly, it just made us spend more time outside because it was such an amazing yard with a swing set, fire pit, table and chairs, and hot tub. Younger kids loved the playground. Older family enjoyed the hot tub, back porch and we all enjoyed smores around the fire pit. Plenty of tv's for the evening. We were a short distance from hikes, beaches, lakes, restaurants. If you keep a sharp eye, you might see deer and other wildlife. ##### rachel l.
