Our place is close to family-friendly activities, the Ski Resort is located right across the street from the 2nd level parking lot. Enjoy snow tubing, snowboarding, skiing, and ice skating, you will also find the Beech Mountain Brewery and the Skybar. Within close walking distance to the Alpen Haus, View Haus, Ski Rentals, Coffee shops, and Restaurants! Hiking Trails, Shops, and Restaurants are within walking distance. Enjoy during the summer season - mountain biking, the 5506' Skybar is located at the top of the highest ski area in the eastern United States. Across the street, you will find the Beech Mountain Brewery. Feel free to ride from the home to the biking trails, no driving is needed. You’ll love our place because of the convenient location for the winter activities such as skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, and ice skating. We will provide you with a unique code for your stay a few days before your arrival. We are members of the Beech Mountain Contry Club, if you wish to use te conutry club during your stay the transfer fee requested by the club is $300 which is not included in your total, this gives you access to use the club facilities including: pool, social activities, dinning venues, fitness center, ski lodge and fitness classes \* fees may apply. However, the host called me and said that unfortunately, this listing had been booked 10 minutes earlier. He did have a solution and put me in the condo next door that he also owned.I had paid for two beds and the condo he put us in had one king and one sofa bed. This was unfortunate as my teenage son was uncomfortable for the stay. Also, the bathroom door did not have a doorknob, it was just an empty hole. Pleasant stay for the most part. Everything was reasonably cleaned and as it should be. Kitchen had all the bare necessities , for our needs. Only hiccup was the water heater has an issue, during our stay. It was taken care of, in less than a day. Dirty linens on the floor, Towels in the bathtub, Trash on the Counters, Hair coating the sink, etc. Had to get in touch with VRBO support to contact the host. Received a lot of excuses over the phone. Never got confirmation the VRBO was cleaned by noon the day following check-in so we chose not to return. Check in was super easy. It was just as described and very cozy! My family including my two 3 year olds, husband, and dog stayed. There was on Etsy of room for us. I did put up two bar stools next to a glass table and some breakable items out of reach from my children. I let the owners know in case somethjng was out of place. If you are wanting to be close to the resort this is SO close! We went to Autumn at Oz and could of walked right over. Poppy’s was great for breakfast. Coffee was awesome! We enjoyed our stay here! Our dog enjoyed it also. The first thing he did was enjoy the yummy treat they was there waiting on him when we arrived. Thanks for a great stay! This is our second stay in this unit. It’s a large studio unit with 2 queen size beds and perfect for me, my wife and our 11 yo son. It’s tastefully decorated and well equipped with most everything you need. There’s a nice little back deck to enjoy the cool mountain breeze. A highlight of our stay was the regular visits by a family of deer right up to the front stairs of the building. Our son even got to feed one by hand. Highly recommend this unit! ##### Rich C. Only negatives were there is a musty smell to the place, kind of like what you smell at a ski rental place. There is a folding door (about 16 feet) that can partition off the bedroom from the rest of the room or open to make it larger. Nice concept. The owners were great to communicate with and change my date. When I got the printout from Vrbo, the code to get in was not correct. I suspect Vrbo didn't update it. Once I contacted the owner, he immediately came over to get us in.
