We took full advantage of the bus stop right by our unit to go skiing all weekend at Sugar Mountain. It was so easy, just make sure to call the shuttle and let them now you are from the condos and they will come get you/drop you off. The jetted tub was amazing after long days on the slopes followed by an old fashion by the fireplace. A neighbor explained it to us. There are interior stairs to get down to the unit. Once entering, it was dark, because of the fact it is underground on the front side. Small bedroom windows are not able to be opened with one window being used to support a large hose leading to a loud portable air conditioning unit. Once we got to the back of the unit and were able to step out onto the balcony, all was redeemed. The views are breathtaking. From seeing the fog covered valleys in the morning to the sunset in the evening there is always something to impress. The unit is well stocked with everything that is needed. The hosts graciously supplied snacks, bottled water and coffee. Everything was very clean. I appreciated the opportunity to bring our pet with us. I look forward to possibly going back at another time of year to explore all that there is to see. Would stay here again (and just may if we return to the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games) in a year or two. Was a little hard to find at first (not the host's fault, our GPS was just confused!). My girlfriend and I absolutely loved the resort. It has everything that a 200 to 300 a night place would have. The view was gorgeous, the place was immaculate when it came to cleanliness. The owners were very quick about responding if you had any questions. It has everything you need if you’re cooking there also. It’s also covient to surrounding places to visit. This Serene and Cozy resort I will definitely rent again. Thank you Simon & Julia for letting us rent this fabulous home. ##### Steve F. The condo is on a ridge at the 4500' level inside the Sugar Mountain Resort area. Amenities were good; good bed, fine shower, solid internet connections, nice deck, nice sharp TV pix, complete kitchen and a nice selection of coffees and teas. The entire house was clean and prepared for a cozy stay. It truly felt like home away from home. Even my dog seemed to love the view of the beautiful mountains.
