Holiday Hideaway is a charming, cozy mountain retreat with an open floorplan, a full kitchen with a fridge/freezer, an oven and cooktop, and more. The kitchen is open to the living and dining area, which features a dining table for 4, and a living area with comfy furniture, and an HD Smart TV above the electric fireplace. The sofa in the living area opens to provide a full-sized mattress for extra sleeping (1 adult or 2 children). The sleeping area has a nice king bed, flanked by big bedside tables and lamps. The adjacent full bathroom is nicely updated and has a large soaking tub with a shower. Through sliding glass doors from the living area and the sleeping area, the covered rear deck reveals seasonal winter mountain views, yet feels like a treehouse nestled among the mature treetops when the trees are in full foliage! There is comfy seating as well as outdoor dining on the rear deck. Perched atop Beech Mountain, Holiday Hideaway is a single-level condo with an open and efficient interior, a spacious bathroom, a level front-door entry, and easy access from the parking area, only a flight of steps down from the parking level to the front access deck and entrance. Guests can walk from the property to Beech Mountain Ski Resort and enjoy snow skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, snow tubing, and sledding. Also within walking distance are restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, and more. Buckeye Lake and Recreation Center is only 3 miles from the property and features a large lake with fishing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boating, and more. There is a large covered pavilion with bathrooms, grills, picnic tables, and more, all overlooking Buckeye Lake. The 22,000 square foot recreation center offers basketball, volleyball, tennis, weight and fitness equipment, outdoor sporting fields, a playground, an obstacle course, a climbing area, as well as numerous biking, walking, and hiking trails. All guests are welcome to enjoy the lake and recreation center but need to contact the rec center for information on hours, availability, and per-day guest fees. Search Buckeye Lake and Recreation Center for more information. Holiday Hideaway can sleep 3 adult guests comfortably and up to 4 guests if 2 children use the full sleeper sofa, as the additional sleeping option is the full-sized sleeper sofa. The full bathroom features a soaking tub with a shower along with an updated vanity, lighting, and flooring. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge and freezer, oven and cooktop, microwave, toaster, and more! Cook and serve full meals in style at Holiday Hideaway. The HD Smart TV in the living area offers digital cable programming. High-speed WiFi internet offers guests convenient connectivity. \*Although there is not a washer/dryer in the condo, there is a shared laundry facility onsite just a short walk away that guests are welcome to use. \*\*One small dog (25 pounds or smaller) is allowed per reservation, standard pet fees apply, must have crate or kennel when the dog is left unattended. This property though it was a great location to get to the ski resort, it felt very dirty, Oder wasn’t pleasant. The wifi didn’t work, most of the outlets didn’t work, kitchen didn’t have what was needed to cook a simple breakfast, cracked plates, things that seemed to be from previous tenants which takes me back to cleanliness, you have to take your trash which is perfectly fine but no trash bags are provided. So it would have been good to know that in advance so we could bring out own. Lastly the parking was pretty bad. If you didn’t make it in time before everyone came back in, there was no place to park. If you will be out and about the whole time, then none of this may bother you, but we had kids that had to nap so we had to come back and forth. ##### Amanda L. I would, without hesitation, rent another one of their properties again. — This property is fine for two days, maybe three. We are very familiar with Beech Mountain having owned there for years. The pros: convenient location; end unit of the building; nice towels!. The cons: parking is down the road; road noise; RESPONSIBILITY OF DISPOSAL OF YOUR BAGGED GARBAGE/TRASH! Beech Mountain has changed their garbage/trash disposal rules. You may NOT take your garbage/trash to the Beech Mountain “Convenience” Center as noted on the refrigerator or in the information provided. The rental company/owner needs to figure this out for future renters because most people will not be able to find the Avery County Trash Dump off NC 105 much less want to haul their trash there. ##### Lani S.
