I always remember of thinking of it as the park in the middle of the mountains. What I never noticed as a child was how every single aspect of this park was planned out and put there for a reason. Likewise before studying the photographic image I had never thought about how we construct a image and its affordances and constraints. One thing I really want to point out in this image is that while we have this beautiful park there is a huge ugly pipe in the middle of the photograph. It is part of the necessity of the planning of the park, just like the frame is a necessity of an image. Dana was exceptional and accessible in helping plan for our trip. The bunk bed room was great for sharing and the master was nice and quite for mama. This location is perfectly nestled between the ski slopes and allowed for everyone to walk to dinner and explore after a day on the slopes. The space is bigger than it looks in pictures. The kitchen is excellent with plenty of cookware, utensils, etc. and lots of niceties. The bedrooms (and beds!) are comfortable and the bathrooms have everything you need for your stay. We had one little issue the first day and it was taken care of within hours. Check in is easy and check out is uncomplicated and easy as well. You can walk to several restaurants, a tap room and a convenience store within 5 minutes. Having garage parking was really nice as well. We had a wonderful time in Banner Elk and our stay at the townhouse was one reason for it! ##### Andi D. A VERY short walk to downtown with all the restaurants, etc. Property was very comfortable, and had everything we needed, and then some.
