However, there was a lot of sound at night inside the hotel itself😳. The rooms are not sound proof at all, and everything that is happening in the hotel - late arriving guests, all the noise feels like it's happening right in your room. So if you are a light sleeper you will get no sleep😣. It is really a shame as the place is newly renovated and really clean and nice, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and the location is great! Close to Phrom Pong BTS and the Emporium. But Hotels.com cut my review for length.===== If you are really traveling on a tight budget like I am, MHC Guesthouse is great. No frills budget travelling. I highly recommend it. It ain’t fancy. But it’s in my budget. And dollar for dollar, an excellent value. I’m going scuba diving in Koh Tao in a couple days. But I’ll be back in Bangkok next week. Where will I stay? The staff was very helpful! Couple of minor drawbacks were the narrow stairs (no elevator) and somewhat outdated furniture. The shower stall could use some upgrading. Overall, I would certainly stay there again as I visit Bangkok annually and have stayed at various places in the past. I returned to it a few days later after having been in Laos, and the staff ladies were very helpful given that I was ill for the last few days of my stay, with a bug I had picked up in Laos. The rooms are remarkably quiet given the guesthouse is only about 30m from busy Sukhimvit road. It is also just a short walk from a skytrain station, whihc was very handy to get around on.
