It was renovated and reopened, and much of the original Japanese style is retained. It can also use the rooftop swimming pool and fitness facilities of another affiliated hotel next door. The hotel manager and staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was very good except that some food items were cold or lukewarm and should have been kept warmer. Thete was also a guy kind of hovering around seemingly to check that people did not take too much of the buffet-style items! All around, a great location close to the BTS and metro, malls, parks etc. with pool and comfy room at a great price.
