At that price,you don t expect too much,but,i expected at least good clean sheets.there were several tears and rips in sheets,several patches sewed on,plus one big tear that was mended,plus stain on blanket,we boooked 3 knights stayed 1 night

Arrived at DM airport 2am, and it was the best choice. Just for one night. Clean, and free wifi.

Nice Hotel
The hotel is clean, the food is excellent. Most of the staff have much better English then our Vietnamese. It is a good walk to the Ancient town but well well worth it.

Great hotel if using the airport.
Stayed here one night as had early flight the following morning. Nice hotel, excellent laundry facilities, nice room, good wifi. Everything that was needed. Would happily stay here again.

Super fast Wifi, 15 minutes to DMK airport, super hard bad, great for a quick stop, sleep and shower before heading to the airport. Good value for money

I had a two week stay
The location suited my visit purposes. Good location for access to Don Muang Airport. Not so good for the City and the sights but being out of the tourist locations has its benefits. My visit was shortly after the death Of the King of Thailand which definitely changed many things. However, No problems. Just be patient and calm at all times.

bare basics for transit using DMK airport.
have stayed there quite a few times over the years and is always the same. don't expect to catch flights during peak hour traffic periods without extended travel times in cabs though , I think the same can also be said regarding savannah bum but at least they have an express train from the city. they also have a serious problem with a night club just up the road playing loud, and I mean loud music which will interrupt your sleep unless you ask for a back room. overall a pleasant enough experience if you are on a budget or just don't want to pay inflated room rates.

Late arrival so little chance to enjoy the Hotel. Night staff friendly and helpful. Morning staff very nice and helpful. Taxi fast response, but book to make certain.

Good place to stay
For a reasonable price you will get a clean and practical bedroom near the Don muang airport. The only complain is if you need to get early to the airport it's not easy at all to get a cab due to the tragic jam and they are already all busy with customers because it's on the way to the airport! Otherwise it's a great place to stay.

Perfect hotel close to Don Mueang
Perfect hotel close to Don Mueang airport. Free noodles and coffee in the room and hot/cold water in the lobby (plus a microwave if you need it). We took the public bus here to Don Mueng airport for something like 18 baht and it was super quick! You just go across the main street (up and over one of the walkways) and wait for the blue bus at the stop outside 7/11 that comes along every 10 minutes or so. Couldn't have been easier!

Was roughly what I expected for the money. Bathroom was slightly below expectations. Staff on the otherhand were phenomenal! They booked excursions for us and even got us discounts where they could ando basically saved us money on numerous occasions. V helpful, humble and honest staff!

Good Value for Money,Clean Rooms, Helpful and Friendly staff. About 8KM from Don Meaung Airport, Innova Taxi 300Baht/ Ordinary taxi 200 Baht. Complimentary water and Cup Noodles,AC, Refrigerator in rooms. tea /Coffee hot water available at Reception. Taxi Driver can easily locate. Massage Parlour just opposite. Lift for all floors.Seven Eleven Stores and Food Joints just 5mins walk.

I stayed here 3 nights, the room is very clean and reasonable price. Having some problem about the main road that is going to do a construction for BTS sky train. lot of traffic congestion in the morning.

Bangkok on a Budget... Look no further! Seriously!
I booked this last minute, and was really stressed trying to find somewhere cheap that would still be nice enough to stay for a whole week. Our expectations were well exceeded, from the moment I booked the accommodation online as I received a welcome email from the Owner, with lots of useful information for our arrival. We spent a week staying here and do not have a single bad thing to say about them. When we arrived, I had left my phone in the taxi, the owner managed to track him down and convince him to bring it back, which from what I have been told is a big deal! Everything you could need as a tourist, from -directions to the Hotel in Thai (for the taxi drivers) -a phone number to call if we get lost, -a full map of local shops/food outlets/bus info, -information on all of the big attractions in Bangkok. The room is basic yet modern, and has all of the necessities as a home away from home (all of the extra luxuries can be borrowed from the reception desk. for example hair dryer-iron board etc). You can't really complain about: - Free Wifi - Rooms cleaned daily - Free Tea/Coffee making facilities in the lobby - Free Bottled Water - Proper Air Con in rooms - Ensuite Bathrooms (very basic but does the job). Especially when you look at how much you are paying for all of this!!! No request was ever too much, we truly felt looked after. Of course nothing compares to 5 Start Hotels, but I highly recommend Gems Park to anyone who is travelling on a budget. Thank You.

One night in Bangkok
A good one night stay around the corner from Don Mueang, although the taxi ride took one hour in the morning, so leave plenty of time. One staff member was so helpful, young girl, the rest were soso. The hotel is clean and basic, nice roof terrace and cheap.

Was decent for one night somewhat close to DMK but wouldn't stay here again
Room was quite clean but very noisy as there was loud live music playing somewhere nearby outside. Not sure if that's regular occurrence at this hotel as I spent only one night here. Front desk staff was friendly but language barrier was more difficult than in other hotels I had stayed during my trip in Thailand. However the taxi was waiting for me in the morning but I was rather sceptic the night before. Note that metered taxi costs were very high to get here from DMK airport! The distance is only few kilometres but due to various traffic reasons, both taxis had to take long roundtrips.

Not a bad alternative
Needed an overnight hotel between plane trips from and to Don Muang a/port. Our usual choice (Louis Tavern) was unusually full so we looked for alternative near airport. Not a big hotel and not on a main road so you need the Hotels.com map to assist taxi driver to find it. Small room but comfortable. No food available at hotel but a Tesco Lotus Plus store walking distance. Also a music venue that serves food on main road quite close also.No complaints but I prefer Louis Tavern even if it is a bit more expensive.

I picked this hotel as I wanted to stay close to the airport. Yes it was close, only 100-120THB by taxi. Close to 7/11 and street stalls at night. Hotel staff were nice and the room was clean. Problems - the bed was rock hard and I had a terrible sleep. Also there was loud music all night coming from the bar nearby. No warning of this. Not a good night sleep before my flight therefore I wld not recommend. I slept better on Khao San road!

Just had a few hours sleep there before the early morning flight. The check in was quick and the reception guy was really nice. The room was very simple but spacious and clean. The bathroom was of a spartan kind (shower next to a toilet and no hot water). The bed ok, hard but bearable, but the blanket was too small and too thin to keep you warm with aircon on, and no extra supply in the room. It was quite noisy till 1am (some street performance). Still a reasonable option if you need to get quickly to the airport (the old small one). Good thing os they provide an airport transfer, a minibus at only 50 baht per person, and it gets to the airport faster than a taxi.

We arrived at gems park around 1130pm, it was a bit difficult to find, so I recommend having good directions. It was a pretty smooth transfer from DMK airport nonetheless. The staff were great, bright and cheerful anytime I interacted with them, and very helpful with directions and recommendations. I would stay here again when back in Bangkok.

cheap stay close to airport.
Spent 2 nights. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was ok. Staff really friendly and helpful. The problem was the noise coming from a karaoke bar so we had to change room to the other side of the hotel which the staff kindly did. The taxi fare to/from Don Mueang is less than 100 baht.
