"Buffalo Mountain Lodge & Louis Normand"
Without a doubt one of the friendliest places I have ever visited. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by staff. The staff was extremely helpful and always had a smile on their faces. We were pleasantly surprised that the hotel offered complimentary shuttle service from the hotel into town and back. All we needed to do was pick up the phone and reserve our transportation. Our main driver, Louis Normand, a highly motivated guide with a warm personality was absolutely the best. We highly recommend Louis! We truly enjoyed his company along the rides to our destinations. He is very familiar with the town of Banff and its surroundings and guided us through the do's and don'ts, which is always welcomed in our books. So if you ever stay at the Buffalo Mountain Lodge be sure you ask for Louis Normand. Banff's scenery is beautiful and peaceful. A truly relaxing place and a change from the fast city pace.

"Great lodge on a great lake…"
I highly recommend Moraine Lake Lodge for its accommodations and proximity to the lake. My wife and I went here for our honeymoon and thoroughly enjoyed the lodge and its surroundings. Of the two lakes (Louise & Moraine), we were grateful we stayed at Moraine Lake Lodge as its lake and surrounding mountains and its hiking trails were more appealing and less touristy.

"sunshine lodge"
We really enjoyed our stay. Only problem was that when my husband booked the room in the summer he was told that you can't check into your room before 4:00 p.m., but we were not told that the gondola closes at 5:30 so we arrived about 5 min. too late and had to wait for "Suzie" to come pick us up and it cost us $75. I think the instructions could have been more clear for him.

"Winter Escape"
We love this hotel in the winter with all the activities like ice skating, snowshoeing, dog sledding, cross country and downhill skiing. It's a winter wonderland and the view of Victoria glacier across the frozen lake is stunning. We met so many nice staff members during our stay and their all terrific: the front desk, the hostesses, the waiters, the outside bartenders, the spa people, the ski rental personnel and the shop employees. If there is one thing I would like to see it would be more food options in the winter - like having a traditional pizza! We've been here twice before and will continue to come back to this treasure.
