"Great lodge on a great lake…"
I highly recommend Moraine Lake Lodge for its accommodations and proximity to the lake. My wife and I went here for our honeymoon and thoroughly enjoyed the lodge and its surroundings. Of the two lakes (Louise & Moraine), we were grateful we stayed at Moraine Lake Lodge as its lake and surrounding mountains and its hiking trails were more appealing and less touristy.

"Nice hotel near the lake"
Nice hotel for relaxing. We are happy for the hotel stuff and room. However, the parking lot is too far from room. You have to take hotel shuttle. That's inconvenient.

"Rustic And Pleasant"
Stayed here for 2 nights. Hotel staff were excellent! Accommodated our early check-in and were extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations and navigating the Banff area. If you go into this hotel expecting a rustic lodge you won't be disappointed. There are fireplaces in every room which are stoked and ready to go with a light of a match. We also had a nice outdoor sitting area. Bathrooms do need updating and if you have a ground floor room as we did, you will hear people walking upstairs. There was a nice outdoor hottub that we used and shower facilities. Rooms are not air-conditioned and there was no fridge. While there was no issue for us, parking could be a problem during the peak season as there didn't seem to be enough spaces for all the rooms. Overall, the staff made up for any shortcomings in the facility.

Nice location and wonderful service. The room is modern and its space is bigger. Of course, the price is higher.

"Close to Lake Louise"
Other than, the huge Fairmont hotel, this is the closest hotel to Lake Louise. It is a throwback to days gone by with a great ambiance and early 1900's feel. Unfortunately this means no microwave, TV or frog in the room. For us that was fine. When we asked for a coffeemaker they brought us one. Food is quite expensive (as it is everywhere in Banff) and a couple can easily spend as much on food as a room if they eat all three meals in the hotel. The overnight price was great.

Had a lovely stay. Food was good, however when I saw a mouse in the dining room, the waiter did not seem at all concerned.
