"Nice old-time themed hotel"
The hotel is old-time themed, which was unique and there are also posters and funfacts about movies that are shot in the Canadian wilderness. The theming was also great. Although, I could smell a faint musty smell in the room where we were staying. But other than that the smell, the room was very spacious, decently cleaned, and reasonably quiet.

"Great lodge on a great lake…"
I highly recommend Moraine Lake Lodge for its accommodations and proximity to the lake. My wife and I went here for our honeymoon and thoroughly enjoyed the lodge and its surroundings. Of the two lakes (Louise & Moraine), we were grateful we stayed at Moraine Lake Lodge as its lake and surrounding mountains and its hiking trails were more appealing and less touristy.

"Beautiful resort next to Cathedral Mountain."
Great resort by Kicking Horse river surrounded by beautiful mountains. Excellent restaurant. Enjoyed the great big wood burning fireplace. Wonderful autumn colors. Great hikes nearby.

"Beautiful location but facility is a little tired"
We stayed two nights at Emerald Lake Lodge. The setting is very beautiful. The lodge and the cabins are older and not well maintained. Room balconies need painting as the paint is peeling. The carpets look old, worn and dirty. The environment is comfortable. Not many amenities come with the high room prices. There are no guided hikes. Canoes and breakfasts are not included. However, the breakfasts are reasonably priced if you order off the menu versus getting the buffet. One nice amenity they do have that other lodges do not is the guest spa which has a commercial whirlpool and a dry sauna.

"Rustic charm"
I knew this hotel was older so didn't have high expectations. But what a charming place with tons of character. Yes the room was small but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. It is a 10 minute walk to the Lake Louise. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant.

"Wow!"
This hotel has been on my bucket list for some time. The level of service at the Fairmont brand is top notch. It just doesn't get any better. And this particular Fairmont has the added benefit of being located at one of the most beautiful places on Earth. It is expensive, but it is worth it. The food at all the restaurants was great. Their front desk staff was excellent. The concierge was always extremely helpful. There is nothing we asked for that they didn't bend over backwards to accommodate. The rooms are very nice. Spring for the view. It's simply breathtaking. My only criticism is that the hotel and Lake Louise itself are so popular, that it is overrun with tourists. The lobby gets extremely crowded in the middle of the day, and the grounds are crawling with tourists bused in non-stop all day long. So it lacked a little of the peace I looked for from our getaway to the Canadian Rockies. Nearby Moraine Lake and the Moraine Lake Lodge may be a good option for a second trip, seeing as the lake is just as beautiful, but only half as crowded. However, you should at least splurge once in your life and spend a few days at this fantastic hotel!

"Nice hotel but a lot of maintenance needed "
Hotel was nice and staff was helpful. In the room, the tub had rust stains around the drain, the kitchen and appliances were cheap (white and plastic, not stainless steel). Advertised with underground parking, however when we checked in they informed us it was an extra $10/night. The hot tub was nicely located but deck around it needed major maintenance, vinyl was lifting and cocking was peeling off. I've stayed in many of the hotels in this area of Canmore and this was at the bottom of the list. I was expecting for it to compete with Blackstone or Solara , however i found it wasn't even as nice as Lodges at Canmore. I would recommend this place if it was the cheapest in the area but when you pay $300/night, it is not worth it.
