Cons: The location of the pool/elevator to the lounge. You have to walk right in front of the lounge to get back to your room. So awkward.
Over all stay was good. A bit noisy at night on the street but very central and convenient to all the shops and restaurants. Also a very good price!

Run down room

Posted 15-Oct-2016
Staff is fine but the room was really run down... and shower/bathroom is very in need of updating. Would not mind as much if rate was way lower...

Low cost, old school hotel

Posted 15-Oct-2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms were very hot, ac doesn't work and windows do not open.
Location: Middle of town, everything close by

Mount Royal Hotel

Posted 29-Sep-2016
Pros: This older hotel still has its glamour.
Cons: Toilets.
Location: Hotel was within walking distance of great shops and restaurants.
Our stay of three days put us right in the middle of great shops and restaurants in downtown Banff.

Pros: Location is awesome! Beds are comfy. Staff are helpful and kind.
Cons: Renovate the bathroom.
Location: Located on the downtown strip. Close to EVERYTHING!!
Bathroom is old but clean. Renovations are needed. No fridge in our room and no 'do not disturb' door sign. Beds are clean and comfortable. Staff are very helpful and kind. Location is amazing.

hotel looking its age

Posted 28-Sep-2016
Pros: closeness to downtown
Cons: could be cleaner (especially bathroom area)
Location: great
Hotel is situated within walking distance to all stores and walking paths but it is very old and in need of a facelift ,can be kept in a cleaner condition.

Nice view to the mountains

Posted 20-Sep-2016
Pros: The location is convenient. They provide free parking.
Cons: The cleanless and staff attitude -specifically at the front desk.
Location: The location is absolutely convenient downtown Banff. All the amenities are nearby.
We were 4 adults and 1 child in a 2 queen size bed. Room was ok and we were confortable. They just provided 3 coffee bags instead of 4 and all the soap, shampoo ... were for 3 people. The room could be a little cleaner as well as the hotel. We were not advised about the breakfast buffet at Tony Roma's we just find out on our last morning. The staff is not very friendly. Also they charge you a security deposit of $50 for damages. It is my first time when I had this in a hotel.

Very small room and diry carpet

Posted 6-Sep-2016
My room is very small. The bathroom is super tiny and dirty. The carpet look like it has not been cleanned for ages. There's no mini fridge and air conditioner. It got this room $50 cheaper than the last hotel that I stayed in Banff but the differences are huge. We don't want to go back to this hotel.
