"Comfortable and conveniently located to our needs"
Hotel was well appointed but dated. Comfortable for the most part, but the bed was small and uncomfortable. Good amenities and close to the campground where we had relatives we wanted to visit.

Location, view and room itself were great! We got noise from pool and next door balcony, but it was fairly short lived. All in all a great room for a great price!

Lake Louise Inn

210 Village Road, Lake Louise - Map
"Good value in an expensive ski town"
The front lobby was under construction, but that should be done by early May 2017. Construction also meant the pool was out of order, but you could use the pool facilities at a neighbouring hotel. The beds in the room were very comfy. The on-site restaurant wasn't fancy in terms of decor, but provided good food at a reasonable price.

"Definitely Family Friendly"
My family and I started out in this hotel with a great experience. We had a late flight and landed in Calgary International airport which is 1 hour and a half away from the hotel so we couldn't make it in time for the check-in. However, when we got to the hotel there a very nice security guy that stayed after and made sure we got to out rooms safely. Charlton left a note for us in a mailbox and we had to walk down 2 hotels to their sister hotel to grab our keys, which wasn't so bad. However, we didn't get the room we book, so that was kind of inconvenient. But that problem was solved when we went and talk to the front desk about it. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, we were immediately upgraded to a more comfortable and family-friendly room that was equipped with a kitchenette, which was very convenient and had all the pots and pans that we need. Additional to that, there was also a free daily continental breakfast offered every day, but it would have been better if they switch up or had more options. Going on, since the hotel is only about a 10-15 walk from the center of Banff Ave, it is a very walkable distance to everywhere in Banff, but I would recommend a rental car, because there are more places that you can travel to, and you don't have to wait for the shuttle buses (Roam).

Red Carpet Inn - Banff Hotels
Rating: 2.0 Stars

Red Carpet Inn

425 Banff Ave, Banff - Map
"Somewhere to sleep & shower while in Banff"
We booked the Red Carpet in because it was cheap and the ratings were ok - it exceeded these in every way. Rooms were clean, well presented and had all the amenities you would expect from a budget hotel including plenty of parking. That coupled with the views of Banff & you really couldn't complain. Beds were (very) comfy, everything was clean and tidy. If I was looking for a 5* hotel I would be disappointed, but thats not what this place is and it doesn't pretend to be either. The hotel is tired - it has obviously been there a while - and could do with some maintenance to bring up the appearance, but as far as functioning goes we had no issues. The reception staff were more than helpful when we contacted them by email before the stay & also while we were there (we needed a kettle to boil water for our toddler).
