"Room needs service & hallway smells terrible "
Overall it was a nice stay except that the furnace made a terrible smell in the room, the bathroom sink was clogged and the toilet would run the water until we had to lift the top and stop it. We were on the first floor and the whole hallway smelled disgusting, clearly coming from the garbage room. It was also very hard to get ahold of the front desk, I called a few times with no answer. Friday night we rented movies and could not get the DVD player to work and when I finally got ahold of someone at 8pm he said everyone was gone home and could not help us. Also, we mentioned to the front desk that when the fireplace is turned on it melts the bottom of the DVD player, the sticker on it was melted onto the ledge. Would stay at this hotel again but not through paradise, only directly through the grand rockies resort.

"Winter Escape"
We love this hotel in the winter with all the activities like ice skating, snowshoeing, dog sledding, cross country and downhill skiing. It's a winter wonderland and the view of Victoria glacier across the frozen lake is stunning. We met so many nice staff members during our stay and their all terrific: the front desk, the hostesses, the waiters, the outside bartenders, the spa people, the ski rental personnel and the shop employees. If there is one thing I would like to see it would be more food options in the winter - like having a traditional pizza! We've been here twice before and will continue to come back to this treasure.

"sunshine lodge"
We really enjoyed our stay. Only problem was that when my husband booked the room in the summer he was told that you can't check into your room before 4:00 p.m., but we were not told that the gondola closes at 5:30 so we arrived about 5 min. too late and had to wait for "Suzie" to come pick us up and it cost us $75. I think the instructions could have been more clear for him.
