good hotel for skiing

Pros: the hotel's free coffee and cookies are great..
Cons: nothing
Location: ski and hot springs.
the hotel exceeded our expectations considering how much we paid for it. I strongly recommend it to all the ones who enjoy skiing in Banff.

Cleanliness questionable

Shortly after arriving in our room, I noticed some splattered stains on the turned down part of our sheets. After taking a closer look it was obvious that these were blood stains on the sheets; the decorative bed covering was also dirty, and the beds were not made with fitted sheets, so the mattress sheet shifted throughout the night. Although, after complaining, the bloody sheets were changed quickly, I couldn't believe that this wasn't caught when they turned down the sheets and blanket; regardless, this fact alone made the entire stay very off putting.

Brutally slow check in and there was only one ahead of me. Would have been nice if expedia told us in advance of the $15/night parking fee. I would have gone elsewhere for this price.

High class hotel

Pros: King size bed, fireplace, mini fridge, beautiful bathroom.
Cons: I am 100% happy.
Location: Walking distance to downtown Banff. Bus is very easy to grab to go to Hot Springs, Gondola. Bus stop right outside the door.
We had a very nice stay at the Delta in Banff. We utilized the valet parking, had drinks in the lounge upon arrival. Our room was exactly what the pictures showed. We ate two breakfasts and one dinner in the restaurant. The meals were excellent. The concierge was helpful, gave us a map and talked about walking distance to what we wanted to see. There was even a snow sculpting event ! Those were neat to see. The lobby had self serve Starbucks coffee! How wonderful. I would definitely recommend the Delta hotel. I have stayed in their hotels In Whistler, Vancouver and Banff. Always a great experience.

Noisy Early Morning Hours

Cons: Increase the temperature of the pool
My family and I checked in at 430pm thinking that we would get a good room (high floor and away from foot traffic). The receptionist checked us in room on the main floor next to lobby doors and elevators. I didn't think to request changing the room as I assumed that the room would be alright for noise. We were happy with the interior of the room. The environment of their Grotto swimming pool was nice but the water was on the colder side. At any rate, my family and I enjoyed their pool. Unfortunately, at 2am, we were woken up by the noise from other hotel guests opening and closing the lobby door. The hotel staff were also vaccumming the lobby from 2am to 330am. As a result, we didn't get much sleep. I saw reception at 245am to file a complaint. He advised me that there were no other rooms. He advised me to talk to the office manager at 9am. The next morning, I met the offiice manager to share my poor experience with her. She advised me that the night receptionist could have switched me into another room. I informed her that I specifically chose to stay at this hotel as a result of my past positive experiences. I enjoyed their amenities, rooms, and the staff were friendly. Thankfully, she was able to offer us breakfast to improve our experience. I really appreciate that she tried her best to improve my family's stay at the hotel. If you choose to stay at this hotel and to avoid a similar experience, at booking in the notes, always request for a room away from the elevators

Staff were very friendly and accomadating. Room was very comfortable. Just wish pillows weren't as stiff. Other than that fantastic.
