"Wonderful Staff"
I stayed 4 days here with family. The room was a bit cramped, but comfortable. What sets this apart from other places is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They explained about the onsite facilities, showed us where the bus stop was, provided us with the bus schedule, gave us a map of town, gave us free bus passes, explained where we would get off the bus and where to pick it up again. The also gave us a map to their facilities and how to locate our room. They also explained that due to the bike race the following day their entrance would be closed from 6:45 to 9:00am - which we knew because that was the reason for our visit.

"Nice hotel, room needs attetion"
We stayed for 3 nights at the Juniper, a mid-century modern hotel. The room we had was large but the bathroom was small. The room had been refurbished in a modern style and looked quite pleasant. However, on further, inspection we noticed the paint on the walls near the door were chipped, the door knob plate on the bathroom door was dangling, the veneer on the bathroom door was splintered , the window coverings were wrinkled and the legs on the occasional chairs and armoire looked liked they had been chewed. At $259 per night, I expected the room to be in good condition. I realize it is high season and the rooms are turning over quickly but the hotel needs to ensure it has a way to deal with such issues between guest stays, so guests get what they pay for and are not disappointed. I would recommend this hotel but with caveats.

Good hotel with a great breakfast included but the rooms never cooled down enough to sleep well. We talked to the desk about it but it didn't seem to change.

"Close to downtown. Front desk staff very helpful."
Tiles were broken cracked through out. Some missing in bathroom. Floor not very clean looking. Old uncomfortable beds. Outdated. Mold on ceiling above the shower. Price was high. When we informed staff of broken sharp tile in hot tub, they just said oh. Was a nice view. Quiet spot. Brought us freshould towels everyday. Enjoyed the full kitchen and fire place.
