« This property was an amazing stay. Peaceful, quiet and very relaxing. Be prepared for an adventurous off road experience to reach the cabin. We loved every minute of our trip. The only downside of our stay was several ( at least 5) wasps nests on the house which made entering and exiting the home challenging. The host did respond to my message about the wasps and stated she would be dealing with them. Overall an amazing property and great for a vacation. »

Mountain driveway is not to be underestimated. 4WD required and need tall clearance under car. It is 1-car wide and challenged when you meet another car coming the other way. Close enough to both Shenandoah for outdoor activities and C’ville for city attractions. Cleanliness great! Communication easy and prompt. »

« My friends and I had a fantastic time staying at the dancing bear. The grounds were very clean and well maintained. The host was also easy to get ahold of. There is a wonderful view from the cabin overlooking the valley below. Just make sure to bring a flashlight for the stairs leading to the firepit when going down there at night because they are unlit and one of my friends did trip when using them in the dark. »

« The Barred Owl is a beautiful and extremely clean home with plenty of kitchen-ware, towels, etc. Located at the top of a hill, it is super private on a lovely property. The hot tub was clean and soothing, as well as there is a nice grassy area to build a fire and enjoy the weather or roast smores. I highly recommend and would go back! »

« This cabin was wonderful. Definitely off the beaten path but provided great quiet serenity after a full day in the park. You really can't beat something 15 minutes from the park entrance and also 15 minutes from town/groceries/restaurants. Stunning sunsets from the porch! "Nous avons passé 3 nuits début juillet 2025 à Skyland, et ce fut une expérience exceptionnelle ! Notre chambre double avec deux lits queen était spacieuse, propre et très confortable. Elle disposait de tout le nécessaire : TV, Wi-Fi, machine à café, et surtout une superbe terrasse avec une vue à couper le souffle sur les montagnes de Shenandoah : un vrai bonheur au lever comme au coucher du soleil. Le personnel a été extrêmement accueillant et serviable tout au long du séjour, ce qui a rendu l’expérience encore plus agréable. L’hôtel est idéalement situé au cœur du parc, parfait pour rayonner sur Skyline Drive et profiter des randonnées sans passer trop de temps en voiture. Sur place, tout est prévu pour un séjour pratique et agréable : restaurant, bar, boutique, machine à glace, parking gratuit… (Seul petit point à noter : il n’y a pas de piscine, mais franchement, on ne vient pas ici pour ça !). Nous recommandons chaudement Skyland à tous ceux qui veulent profiter pleinement de Shenandoah NP dans un cadre naturel, calme et authentique. Nous y retournerions sans hésiter !"
