The cottage is Grade II listed and has been converted from an old coach house. The village is located on the Oxfordshire cycleway and connects areas of outstanding natural beauty. The cottage is built from local Horton stone and retains many exposed walls within, along with exposed original beams. Outside there is a patio with garden table and chairs and off road parking. So a change of towels and sheets would have been nice. Parking outside the cottage or on the road is available. The cottage is quiet, warm (maybe a little too warm in the summer) especially in the bedroom. I am 5ft 4inches and the bedroom and bathroom beams in the ceiling are very low for me, so be warned if you are tall. The mattress is very soft and not for anyone with any back issues. The kitchen has all the equipment you may require, but a simple welcome pack may be nice (like milk) as the nearest shop is five miles away. The cottage information was very brief and the restaurants and pubs outdated as a number of them had closed a few years ago. A refresh of this In for some would be helpful, with some local tourist information would be a nice touch. The cottage is well established and Mary as well as her family are very hospitable. From the little village you have plenty of walking routes, which our dog and we enjoyed much. The cottage was perfect for our five day stay to unwind and to sightsee. Everything was spotlessly clean, the lounge and bed very comfortable, and all necessary utensils etc were on hand. We enjoyed a delightful celebratory dinner over the road at The Blinking Owl Pub. Would recommend the cottage to any couple wanting to stay in this area. ##### Lindsay M. Very clear directions, parking right by front door. The cottage was perfect- well equipped kitchen and superb spacious sitting room. Bedroom and en-suite excellent. All very well decorated.
