Be clear this is one of hundreds of low end Motels all along this section of Sunset Blvd. No fancy stores or dining. But I booked at the last moment.
I thought I was in the wrong hotel, but it was acceptable and the managers or owners are very kind and very pleasant.
The pool (it's winter) isn't heated, I don't know if it ever is. Despite not the best of neighborhoods I never felt unsafe. There is a Chic Filet across the street and what looks like a hopping chicken restraint franchise I'm not familiar with.
I asked for a room on the second floor given experiences of having people above, even regular stuff seems loud, if they are party or music people or a couple who fight verbally as a part of their relationships, better not to find out with a downstairs room.
Again a motel with fresh paint and clean feeling.
Would stay again in a pinch.
