« Overall excellent experience at the MotownBNB. Arrived in mid-summer to find the spot well kept, very comfortable and cool with the AC, and calm and quiet with the Motown music playing on the TV downstairs.Had all the equipment and utensils available to facilitate a great trip. Had 14 guys get together from around the country and we all slept comfortably. Two drove in and had air mattresses and let everybody else have full beds along with the pull-out couch. « Everything was better than described! The place was comfortable and clean, and the location was perfect. We were downtown in less than ten minutes easily. Also, the surrounding area was nice, and we found a couple of coffee shops nearby to chill and unwind. We will definitely be staying here again when we are back in Detroit. »

« This house met our needs - we were a large group of friends in town for a friend's wedding, and this house has lots of places to sleep and a nice large living room. That being said, some of the sleeping spaces are not private. The location was central and the neighborhood was quiet. The house was obviously pretty old, and the refinishing was not always very high quality (i.e. crooked floors). »

« We loved our too short stay at the Whitney Mansion. It’s a beautiful home, so gorgeously renovated and decorated, very comfortable. We had everything we needed. Communication with Jeffrey was excellent, the beds and bedding were comfortable, and the location was perfect for so many things you’d want to do in Downtown Detroit. Although it was very warm the hvac system kept up, which is impressive for a house of this size. We would definitely stay here again. »

« Easy to get to the house, many houses on the street were in differing stages of renovation, very quiet neighborhood, we were 10 minutes by car from downtown Detroit. House is well furnished and equipped. Bedrooms are very roomy. Would have liked to open a bedroom window at night, but could not, they may be painted shut. No bathroom on the main level, so you have to go upstairs or downstairs. The stairs going to the 2nd floor, have a hand rail going just half way up. Really need a railing...

« Gave it a perfect ranking because we loved it, nothing in notes would stop us from staying there again. We hope the details help future renters.Kitchen is WELL stocked with plates & pans. Fewer forks/spoons but still 8ish. Most utensils, no cheese grater, no zip locks. Working dishwasher and microwave, fridge was about 3/4 size but enough for 6 people over a week. Coop grocery 2 socks away, cute and awesome.. Some restaurants but more near Wayne State U about a mile south. Wifi only worked for 1...
