One was reportedly booked for the entire month, and the other eas allegedly occupied for two of the five days I planned to stay. I plan to file a detailed report with Baltimore’s civil rights division when I get home, and withe regional marketing manager. It is obvious that facility was once attractive and has fallen on hard times. I did appreciate easy access to waffles, cereals, cold milk, fresh fruit, tea and coffee. Staff were courteous, several time there no one at the desk. There was a horrendous shouting match among two, (maybe three) men) and a woman that went on way too long). I didn’t dare poke my head out of my 4th-floor door. I had to lose my temper to get a chair for the tub, as my balance is not reliable enough to stand without grab bars. I am 84 years old. I don’t lose my temper often. I am only 5’, and the mattress was too high for me to lie down; I had to scoot across on my butt the swing my legs up to get onto the bed. My $538 rate was at least affordable, but I would have paid $100 more for grab bars, a walk-in shower and a stepstool! There are enough rooms to set aside one accessible room on every floor. The hotel is not in the safest part of town and the only parking is street parking. There is a garage down the street but they close gates at a certain time at night and it’s closed on Sunday, so that wasn’t an option for us. The hotel is in an area surrounded by intoxicated people, homeless, and it’s loud and dirty. A man harassed me on my way in. The bedding had unidentifiable yellow stains and the room had a Smokey smell as if someone was smoking cigarettes before I arrived. The floor had a strange crunch to it and the shower drain was completely uncovered. If you dropped a ring or jewelry you would never get it back. The hotel staff was very nice and took security seriously considering the awful surrounding area. My door did not close all the way which posed a serious safety threat to me as a woman traveling alone. They have to have bugs ! The lady at the front desk was amazing. She was nice from checking in to check out. Now, the room was another story. Since we walked in the hotel building, it was disgusting. There was cigarette ashes on the counter where we checked in the floor was disgusting. We got into the elevator, got off on our floor on the fifth floor, the floor was gross. I felt like if I had white socks on you with my socks would be black. It smelled stuffy in the hallways, and there was marks all on the doors in the walls. Now, going into our room the door was extremely heavy to open up. As we walked in it smelt like a dead body was in this room. Floor was disgusting. Bathroom was nasty. Wouldn’t dare use the towels that were there. It just look like it was never cleaned. there was stains on the doors, stains, white stains, or white, milky substance on the counter by the phone and also by the ice bucket in the lamp. Floor was disgusting again, walked around in my shoes the entire time. Went to turn on the air conditioning, and there was hair and leaves inside the top of the vent. The AC did pump out good air, but it was disgusting. We slept on the top of our beds with a blanket of our own on top underneath of us because there were stains on the bed. I found a long piece of blonde hair several times in the room mind you me and my daughter have dark black hair. I would never stay here ever again. I will be letting everyone know. Do not stay here. I booked a queen bed, but was told the queen rooms were in operable. So I was put in a double bed room. Nothing worked, the outlets in the bathroom did not work, the door lock did not lock, the iron stopped working after only using it for 5 minutes. I advised the front desk the worker told me you don’t need to worry about the lock because you need a key to enter the room. I know that but I like extra security while sleeping. Although I was given another room these things need to be fixed for the comfort of anyone staying. Besides that, it served its purpose. The bathroom was very clean so that was appreciated. Unfortunately, I will never stay here again. Couldn’t figure out parking but called hotel and they directed to garage aCross the street. I was actually a little scared of the area hotel was located in. Dirty streets vandalism etc. Based on the pictures on hotel.com thought it was different for sure. Our room was on the 6th floor. There was white splatters or something on the door. We had some flies in the bathroom. The bathroom smelled like smoke and we booked a non smoking room. The beds were comfortable. Tv and fridge worked. You could smell that People were smoking pot in the building and children/young adults running around late at night making lots of noise. In the morning when I mentioned the pot they said they tell them not to and they do it anyways. We checked out by 7 am. First off lets talk about my room not having a freaking shower head for the shower of course all rooms are sold out. The next morning l go for breakfast the lady is eating while casually putting stuff out and it was nothing like the picture shown. Hot food was placed in the same cabinet as the bread/bagels and muffins so basically once the egg patties and sausage cooled down you was gonna have to microwave it again instead of actually having a food warmer that kept it warm. Room was small. Hallways looked Horrendous, elevator smelled like weed, no accessible parking for hotel guests. One of the days l was in the lobby there was a kid/teenager no shoes or socks just standing in the front lobby like it was normal. Everywhere you turned it was always folks standing around from 7am to 11pm outside and being from Baltimore and moving away. I hated l had to always worry about my truck being broken into but it don’t matter because that’s the 1st and last time at this place. Arriving to the front curb, I was greeted by a junky asking what I needed. I told him I'm checking in, then he kept walking in and out of the hotel with his ''associate'' - so before unloading my wheelchair and service dog, waited for them to leave. Over the next 30-minutes, I watched them conduct no less than four drug deals from the curb. With the junky serving the cars that pulled up and his associate going in the hotel each time with the dope. Meanwhile, queue the 2 assumed prostitutes coming in and out of the lobby to meet their John's with their pimp before driving off and the pimp going back in the lobby, only to bring out another girl ten minutes later. Friday night at this rat hole is a nightmare. I immediately called Hotels.com to let them know I would NOT be checking in and demanding a refund for my pre-paid reservation. I ended up staying at the Inner Harbor and having to pay three times the price to feel safe. Expedia requested a response to the property manager who ignored my request, so I had to file a chargeback with my credit card. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR DRUGS OR A PROSTITUTE. There was no security present, nor on-site parking, and the management is clearly aware of the problems but let it happen.
