Location was amazing. But, the thermostat beeped 3 times every few minutes for days. The shower was tiny, I kept turning the water off with my elbow while showering. If you took a shower early in the morning to catch a full day tour the water was not hot. Later in the day it was very hot. When I booked I read that the rooms had washers and dryers. When we checked in we found out only 2 had them and it wasnt ours. We did laundry at a laundromat that ended up costing a $100 plus a taxi to and from. The refrigerator scraped the floor everytime we opened it. It wasn't quiet.

Super nice location, long history, friendly staff, convenient parking, and excellent breakfast buffet. The building is beautiful!

The reviews on this have been variable so it’s time to weigh in with my own. Bottom line - if you want a decent stay for a cost-effective price, DO consider this. If you’re looking for the Ritz, it’s probably wrong for you. This is normally student accommodation and so is way better than a hostel while not being a hotel. You get your own, modern, fairly smart room with an en suite shower room and toilet. There’s also a modern shared kitchen/TV area with oven and microwave and washing up facilities just down the corridor. The crockery, kettle etc seemed to have come from Ikea and some were still in their plastic, to give you an idea. The fridge/freezer looked new as far as cleanliness goes. Yes, the shower was a bit slow to drain (design flaw I think), but that’s as bad as it got. Bella on reception was ever-pleasant and helpful and I was able to leave my suitcase for a few hours on the last day. This place is on the edge of the centre, so not a bad location. There are one or two places to eat, plus takeaways and convenience stores in easy walking distance. I personally feel I nailed it with this as a choice for a cheap city break - it met my expectations and did the job very nicely. Recommendation for a good break? Leave your car at home and order yourself a visitor’s Leap Card to get around. Dublin hates cars and has pretty great bus, train and tram (Luas) systems. I didn’t know what I was doing and I didn’t go far wrong.

Everything about the property surpassed our expectations. The property was beautiful and clean and very well kept. The cuisine was delicious especially Kathleen's Kitchen which we dined at 3 nights. The Carriage House Pantry had the best cappuccino I've ever had and they offered a wide range of food options for breakfast and lunch. The spa was incredible and quiet with full use of the pool, hot tub and steam room/sauna. The staff was AMAZING too many to count but some of the memorable ones were, Ann (Manager) Jake, Terrance, Brian, (doormen/concierge) Katie (masseuse) wait staff in Kathleen's and so many others. I would say the only thing missing is a gelato bar in the lobby. Other than that if you are looking to stay just for golf or as a couple looking for a quieter stay this is the place! It's rich with history and you can almost feel the aristocrats there with you as you walk the halls.

We booked airport pickup through the unit. A taxi picked us up from the airport, took us to the office for key pickup, then the taxi took us to our flat. The office was a 10-15 min drive from the flat, so this was very convenient. Highly recommend taking advantage of this option. They told us to leave the keys in the apartment which was convenient. We requested a second set of keys which someone brought to the apartment within the hour. The room itself was clean and well-maintained. The hot water for the shower was confusing, but the app had video instructions on how to use that and the other parts of the flat. There was a lot of storage space in the bedroom. Nothing for the person on the sofabed though, so his clothes were all over the living room. The sofabed was better than others, but it was still a sofabed. Lots of towels were provided which was a plus. It was in a great location and many restaurants and activities were within walking distance. The listing shows images from all their apartments, so it's hard to tell what you'll get.
