Great location next to many restaurants. For breakfast, vegan option was fruit & juice (better than nothing! 😊) For shopping, really only clothes stores are walkable. Because after 10mins you start getting into steep inclines & declines. Our legs were sore from yoga so we turned around before the hike lol

The staffs are friendly and very polite and generous. They might have a little communication barrier but very attentive and willing to help you out with anything. Our safebox was not working and the staff guy was trying his best to fix it. It is a small beautiful resort with not too many people so its very peaceful and quiet. Oh and the security guy was ready to fight the monkeys for you as well so its very funny lol

So happy with this choice. Great price, beautiful villas around a central pool, short walk to Zulu Cliffhouse and Single Fin. Beds were a little hard for our taste. Great fresh cooked breakfast included.

If your after a place that’s in walking distance to Suluban and Thomas beach with lots of easy nice eating form breakfast to dinner then it’s a great place to stay along with a massage place across the road. But if your in need of WiFi like us forget it, unless your by the pool its extremely slow that slow you can’t even load an email in the room it’s the worst we’ve experienced in Bali. The bed was like sleeping on concrete and the air conditioning is practically non existent when I arrived the room was really hot I asked if it was working and got told yes but when I turned the fan off it clearly wasn’t asked for it to be fixed and this took until 7.30Pm that night and I arrived for check in at 2pm. Because we couldn’t stream a movie in the room we thought we’d turn on the Tv nope it didn’t work and that had to be looked at the next day. The staff were lovely and polite and were apologetic I felt sorry for them as it’s not their fault these things should all be checked and in working order. Breakfast - adequate I’d suggest eat breakfast out more variety and lots of places very close and you’ll be able to have more than one coffee. The room and bathroom were clean as were sheets and towels.

Three Monkeys Villas was beautiful and relaxing. The free breakfast options were delicious (our favorites were mei goreng and nasi goreng with fresh fruit smoothies. The staff was very friendly. We definitely plan on coming back in the future.

This place was clean, comfortable and above my expectations!! It’s a small place with 8 villas so it felt really lovely and peaceful! Villas are large too! All the staff were so wonderful, helpful and kind which made our stay perfect 👌

Great Value and Service!
We have stayed here twice now, and have only great things to say about this place. The staff is extremely accommodating and friendly, and what you get for the price is awesome. Good breakfast, comfortable rooms with good A/C and it feels private and quiet even though you are so close to both Uluwatu (surfing, restaurants) and Padang Padang beach. We will stay here whenever we are in Indonesia!

Big rooms close to Uluwatu surf
We had just stayed at the Padma in Legian and were pleasantly surprised by 3 monkeys villas. There are a total of 8 rooms in 6 villas surrounding a pool with pretty gardens. The rooms are large, bathrooms are modern and clean, beds are comfortable with nice linens. The pool is small but very nice and we were the only ones that used it during our 3 day stay. The breakfast is just average and the water pressure in our bathroom sometimes struggled. The Wi Fi was ok but the TV was difficult to get working. As its only a small complex there are not a large number of staff around but there was always someone to ask for assistance and transport was quickly arranged. Unfortunately Bluebird taxis are not allowed to pick up in this area so transport tends to be more expensive but still reasonable. The villas are a 5 - 7 minute walk to the amazing Single Fin bar and restaurant which has excellent food and incredible views of the surf. There are lots of other smaller Warungs to buy food in the area and a Pharmacy and general store across the road. Its a 10 minute drive to the main Padang Padang beach for surfing but if you are a strong surfer you can walk to the Uluwatu beach to surf. All in all a very good place to stay.

Fantastic location in Uluwatu, walking distance to Single Fin, beaches and yoga next door. The staff at Three Monkeys were helpful, pleasant and unobtrusive, on hand when needed for breakfast orders and transport booking. The eight villas are situated around a lovely pool with well-kept gardens. The perfect place to relax and unwind.

Very nice hotel, definitely would be back! We were supposed to stay only for one night and extended our stay. The bungalows are big, the bed is comfortable, big bathroom, front porch and small patio in the back. Staff very nice, friendly and helpful. Pool right outside the door, air conditioning working great and wifi too. TV channels and breakfast were okay.

Very disappointing
We stayed 3 nights at the Three Monkeys and were hugely disappointed. It was very expensive and the quality poor. There were dark, sticky stains dripping into the bed, the toilet did not flush properly and the bathroom stank of sewage, A/C and fan very poor, the pool was hot and not refreshing, reception staff unhelpful, not able to organise reasonably priced transport (complicit in the general extortion of tourists in the area), poor wifi, big rat in our room.

Nice place to stay!
My fiancé and I had an awesome stay at Three Monkeys Villa just a few days ago. We got the Deluxe Villa for the first days and after Gili we got the standard (which has a sliding door between rooms) both of them very nice, clean, comfortable and big. With less than 5min walking you're at Uluwatu Beach one of the best Bali's surf spots! With a 10min walk to the opposite side you're at Thomas Beach which is such a paradise, no waves, but worth it to spend a little time swimming and walking around. If you rent a scooter you can go even far to Padang Padang, Bingin, Dreamland etc...the area is very calm to drive comparing to other locations. Breakfast at the Villa is nice and staff are very friendly and always keen to help with everything! Three Monkeys Villa is no doubt a very nice and calm place to stay. You'll get a bit of noise on Sunday nights because of the party at single fin so everyone do like an after party at the little pub located across the road but this is not a reason to not stay at the Hotel at all as the after party won't last till morning and honestly if you enjoy your day nicely you'll get so tired, will sleep and won't notice the noise. But if you think you'lol get bothered, just ask for a Villa at the other side of th hotel. I recommend Three Monkeys Villa to everyone staying at Uluwatu, the place it's perfect for single travellers, friends traveling together and defenetely couples! If you have kids I think it's fine but maybe better check the hotel first: :)

Staff could not have been more helpful. Breakfasts were delicious. Area and rooms kept spotless. Short stroll to surfing area. It could not be improved upon. Koma threw me on the back of her scooter to get money from downtown ATO, no request is too much, and all done with a smile.

A very great place to stay!
Me and my friend stayed at Three monkeys for three night. We loved it! The villas was stunning, staff were nice and very helpful, wifi connection was strong and the location was perfect. Only few minutes walk to Single Fin and few minutes ride to Padang Padang beach. We will definitely stay here again!

Great value, friendly staff, close to beaches.
Really enjoyed our stay here, great spot for relaxing in the gardens by the pool. Convenience store across the road and warung (Indonesian eatery) a short walk down the road. Scooter hire is easy and a short ride to Padang Padang and Bingin surf beaches. Pecatu has great nightlife with cliff top bars for watching sunset that run late into the night. As a result there is a fair bit of traffic noise around late at night and as Uluwatu is a wedding destination there's a bit of disturbance from other guests coming home after there celebrations. So bring some ear plugs. :)

Please stay away from this hotel !
I am writing this feedback to advise people to stay away from this hotel, I had bad experience from this hotel management. When I arrived the hotel, there were so much noise from their hotel construction, I told the hotel management that I could not rest with the noise, they agreed to charge me full for one night and and promised to return 50% of other 3 nights. They advised they will return the money after 5 days and would contact me via email and they have never done it until now, I chased them up with number of emails and I have never got a single reply. It has been more than 1 month and half and nothing has been done, I felt so bad because I was cheated by them. For the hotel I stayed one night there and there were so many mosquito and other insects got in the bedroom via the bottom of the door, quite scary. Please stay away from this hotel, they are not honest and I was wonder how many times they have cheated the customers, may be they don't care about the feedback from the customers. Kevin

The best accomodation in uluwatu and so close to all the action. Short stroll to single fin! Hotel staff were always helpful and the rooms were always clean and very nice. Only place to stay in Bali!

Awesome Villas - Excellent Uluwatu Location
I've just returned from a 4 night stay at Three Monkeys in Uluwatu, Bali. This was my 2nd trip to Bali and I'm so glad I stayed here! The location of Three Monkeys is amazing, it is a 2 minute walk from SINGLE FIN and the Uluwatu cliffs. Padang Padang beach is a 2 minute ride away on the motorscooter... You can walk, it would take about 20 minutes. The villas are gorgeous. Very well built, clean, inviting and spacious. We stayed in the deluxe villa which is extremely large and has a fabulous bathroom and outdoor terrace. Everything you need from a villa is catered for. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Brad (the Aussie guy who owns the place) is great and will answer all questions you have. Breakfast is served to your room as there is no restaurant on site. We sat on our terrace and ate it every morning. Delicious banana pancakes with honey and fresh fruit, coffee and juice. A perfect Bali breakfast! The reception staff were really helpful and rented us a motorscooter for the 4 days we were there. Nothing was too much trouble. The grounds and the pool are very clean and well maintained. This is an awesome base if you are staying in Uluwatu and having before stayed at properties that cost thousands of dollars in Bali I would 100% return to the Three Monkeys - it just does what it says on the tin.

Although the facility was clean and comfortable, there was an empty, soulless feeling. We left after the first night, even though our booking was non-refundable. Wifi was almost non-existent. Breakfast choose was poor for a vegetarian and the food was tasteless and greasy. They forgot to bring my cup of tea, requested twice. We asked the australian owner how to get to Uluwatu temple. He replied "why go there? If you've seen one Balinese temple, you've seen them all!"

Three monkeys villas
Traditionalially styled villas, high ceilings, with every western luxury ensures a wonderful stay. Stayed with my brother as a base for a surf trip, three monkeys met all our needs and more. Things we liked best were the villas themselves are a beautiful design, includes big bathroom, side and front verandah, air con, tv/DVD, small refrigerator stocked with Bintang, soft drink and water and tropical garden surrounding. The pool area is really good. Plenty of deck chairs and tables and chairs to enjoy breakfast by the infinity pool. The pool is surrounded by a wonderful grass and tropical garden and is the perfect place to relax and enjoy some sun. The location is excellent as it is only a 4 minute easy stroll or 30 second mo-ped trip down to uluwatu cliftop with great bars and restaurants, surf shops and of course the surf. The staff were excellent. Polite and friendly, they were there to help you with any request. Transport to all the surrounding surf spots was essential to us and we never waited longer than 5 mins and a car was there to take us wherever we wanted. There are only about 8 villas also which means that the place is really quiet and relaxing. There was nothing about the place that we didn't like however there is room for some improvements. One being that three monkeys villas is not yet complete. They are currently building another 8 or so villas on the other side of the property which is separate to the existing area as well as it's own three monkeys restaurant and bar which would make this place even better! The works do not effect or come into the existing villas, pool and reception area at all. I would recommend this place as a great place to stay for anyone. However, I think that it is beautifully suited in particularly to couples.

I can't say enough how amazing this place was. The manager of the villas even stepped in when a tour guide tried to rip us off and start an altercation. The location was perfect, we had breakfast poolside (jaffles are highly recommended), and we had 5 star service

A quiet and comfortable hotel
Our room was very comfortable and clean. The finishes are all very nice and new. Breakfast was tasty and fresh but there is no restaurant and meals have to be eaten outside by the pool or in the hotel rooms. The staff was attentive and helpful, however due to the nature of the hotel only being staffed during business hours, some issues that we encountered were not able to be fixed until the next day. The hotel's wifi hardly worked and when it did it often kicked one of my devices off after a few minutes. There was also no hot water in our room the first evening of our stay. The other days we had plenty of hot water. Overall the stay was enjoyable, just a few minor issues that could be improved upon.

Single room excellent. Double no privacy , could hear everything next door. Management need to address this problem asp. We loved our stay in the single bungalow. Would not stay in a double room. You need transport if you stay, as the best places to eat are at Padang Padang. Breakfast great. and Made gives an amazing massage by the pool. We stayed 3 weeks at the three monkeys. Pool excellent and the staff amazing and single room beautiful

Great fresh and new facilities. The area is quiet but it's close to the surfing spots in Uluwatu and Padang Padang. The staff was friendly as in general in Indonesia, they spoke good enough english to understand our requests and were very accommodating and attentive.

Brand new and well appointed. The hotel currently only has the capacity for about a dozen guests so you basically have the whole place to yourself. Close to the surf beaches (about a 5 min walk). Good breakfasts. Would definitely recomend as a place to stay in Uluwatu.

The floor hadfood stains and was dirty. We asked staff to clean the floor, but when we returned 2 hours later no action had been taken. We then cleaned 1 floor tile ourselves. What a difference! We showed the result of our own cleaning to the receptionist, but we got no reaction. We asked for a new room which we got, this one with a heavy wet dog smell and doggy footprints on the bed sheets. Generally just not really fresh ambience. We were tired and took the room. Just when we fellasleep we were awaken by a desperate scratching on the bungalow entrance door. When we saw the dog outside going crazy on our door, it became obvious that we had taken the dog's room. When we finally fell asleep, the raggae band started their gig in the restaurant across the street. We had booked and paid for 2 nights, but we left after 1 nights.
