"Elegant room with big windows and tasty breakfast"
Very nice place for a budget nightly rate thanks to Expedia. The property is kept well and is lush with foliage. Room was big, clean, and comfortable. Big windows and big washroom. The staff was nice, but slow to meet any requests. There was promise of being able to book tours, but, when we asked about them, we were told to wait. We never received any tour booking info--no matter how long we waited.

In the middle of Denpasar but not walking distance for tourist attractions. Room is very good for the price. Relatively no guess when I stayed on a weekday.

"Nirvana not far from the truth "
from check in our stay here was incredible. the staff greeted us personally, and showed us to and around our room, which was a beautiful touch. the bed was spacious and comfortable, with a mosquito net, which is a necessity this far north. it is located out of the main strip, and takes a decent 15-20 min walk to get there, but this is worth it for how quiet the space is. in addition, cars cannot get directly to the villa, so you either need to hire a bike, or make use of the complimentary buggy service that provide, which will pick you up from their designated drop zone. the breakfast is plentiful, and delicious. would stay here again.

"A quiet sanctuary in Monkey Forrest."
The villas are of a high standard, modern and very comfortable. Breakfast and afternoon tea are included in the package. The website pictures portray the establishment accurately. The staff are all very friendly. The location in Monkey Forrest places the guest in the centre of the tourist district and with in easy walking distance of restaurants, cafes, shops and spas. The villas are like a sanctuary to return home to after an outing through Ubud. The romantic dinner is an exceptional experience to have in the villa.

"5 nights at the Grand Sunti"
We stayed five nights and had a very good time in this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the driver was fantastic. We hired him for two days to take us to different sites around Ubud. The rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable and the pool just a step away from the room. The hotel grounds were kept super tidy. The only negative thing is the location, the hotel is a 15-20min walk from the town centre. But there are lots of restaurants nearby and the hotel offers a shuttle into town (one way only) twice a day. I didn't particularly like the breakfast buffet but others seemed to be ok with it. All in all, I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others! Thanks Grand Sunti

"Beautiful Balinese essense!"
It's about a 20 minute taxi ride from the airport to the hotel that is Balinese to a fault...rich and beautiful. We used the aircon wifi and swam in the pool joyfully.

"Quiet, laid back hotel with the best team of staff"
this is our second stay there. Before arriving, I have emailed to ask for a quieter room and they didn't disappoint. The bale was perched over a koi pond and it was just lovely. The overall stay, as expected, was extraordinary. They gave us recommendations on what/where to eat in Ubud, and suggestions to plan our day for the parade on the eve of Nyepi day (Silent day). Even on Nyepi day, they had activities planned! On Nyepi day however, I fell sick and needed medical care. Although it's not the first time hotel guests requires medical attention, it was the first time they had to go to the A&E on Nyepi day with a bacalang (local religious police on duty for Nyepi day). It was an experience both because of falling sick, and because of going to the local hospital, and because it was Nyepi day. They were caring and concerned. Even the next morning, they asked if I was feeling better!

"15yr old resort designed to look like 150 years!"
This is a trip to the Indiana Jones' era. The feel is ancient, pura-like with concrete and buildings and layout made to look most Bali and rustic-like. We booked a 2 bedroom unit private villa. Good for 2 families. Nice bathroom downstairs but upstairs bathroom needed to be modified so that the shower could reach the holder. We did not expect these imperfections from a 5 star resort. The result was that for our first night, we had to hold on to the shower hose to have a bath. Ended up we all went to the downstairs unit for a nicer experience. It took a referral to the front desk manager Ms Putu to sort it out properly. She was excellent in her service and demeanour! Other staff seems more interested in placating and politely asking if the stay was ok rather than actually attending to the problems. So if there are any issues, do check with the front desk directly rather than other junior staff/porter/driver etc. Internet is slow and not reliable in the rooms but acceptable in the main dining and lobby. All in all for the price that we paid, this was a good stay with friendly and accommodating staff. The resort needed a good revamp though to relive its glory days. Finally the pot holes on the side road leading to the resort should be attended to. It may be on public grounds but the impression to Payogan is clearly marred by the lack of maintenance there.

"Staff & facility was very nice"
Restaurant B'fast and Dinner serving was the best. Good quality of food. We loved front courtyard and private pool. Also their shuttle service was exceptional. They will drop and pick you from UBud downtown. We are staying at UBUD Hanging Garden which is worst hotel compare to this one. Hanging garden staff are not properly trained & makes lots of mistake. Kayumanis is 100% better. I would definitely stay at Kayumanis again.
