SUPPLIES: Groceries and supplies are available within 5 to 10 miles, but we suggest guests bring what they may need for immediate use so they can stay and relax on the property for their first meals, if so desired. FIRES: Guests are welcome to use the fire pit year-round. However, we do not provide firewood. You can purchase this at many of the local convenience stations, local grocery stores or Walmart. It's generally around $5 per bundle. NO SMOKING POLICY due to guest and owner allergies. You will be charged an extra cleaning fee of $200 if you smoke inside the cabin. This was our first trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains and the main objective was to have a rental with a gorgeous view and this home delivered! Awesome to go during the fall season and it was cool to able to capture a storm coming in! The house was beautiful inside and beds were extremely comfortable. We were very grateful that Pristine Rentals was very particular in commenting on the description of their rental that you should have a 4x4 or AWD vehicle. They were so right! We specifically had rented a 4x4 vehicle because of this and were happy that we did because in order to get this great mountain view, you have to get up there! The cabin was quiet, safe, and comfortable. The kitchen had everything you needed including sharp knives and spices/oil. The hot tub was very clean and had an amazing peaceful view. The view was stunning. We ventured over to Catahooche Valley on Saturday and the elk didn’t disappoint. Sunday we stayed closer home and had a delicious lunch at Little Switzerland cafe . Monday was a visit to nearby Roan Mt and steaks on the grill. Hot tub in the evening looking at a stunning view. Tuesday drove to Valle Cruz Mast General store and the Jerkey place ##### Debra H. Master bed was extremely comfortable, we slept very well. Kitchen was well stocked and we ate most meals there, except for two dinners, both at Mountain Holler which the host suggested and we were not let down! Very quiet area with no traffic, and many animal sightings. Great location for waterfall hiking. The hot tub looks over the mountains and was very relaxing after a hike. We’d definitely like to go back some day. Cloud cover in the am looked like a snow covered lake. Wild turkeys for your listening pleasure. Road to the cabin was well groomed with no need for a 4 wheel drive. The views from the patio are amazing. House is both comfortable and homey. Abundant wifelife all around the area, saw turkeys and deer everyday we were there.
