"We had a blast! The house was spotless upon arrival, and the kitchen was extremely well-stocked—they truly thought of everything. We loved spending our time exploring the trails, floating down the clear river, and relaxing by the fire pit.A few helpful notes for future guests:The terrain: It’s a scenic 3-minute walk down a steep hill to the fire pit and about an 8-minute walk to the river beach. It’s great exercise, but something to keep in mind!Cooling: Only 1 of the 3 bedrooms has its own AC unit. It took a while for the living room AC and the single bedroom AC to cool down the other rooms (even with all bedroom doors left open).The game room was a nice bonus, though we spent most of our stay outside at the river or fire pit enjoying the peaceful setting. Overall, a lovely area and a great stay!"

North Creek Lodge at Gore Mountain

"The room was very clean. There was no AC, fridge or microwave. We came prepared with a cooler and items that didn't need to be cooked. The nights were cool and we were gone most of the time so the AC was not an issue for us. The TV didn't work as well but we brought plenty of reading items and spent time out of the room doing other things. Gore mountain is nearby and the small town area (which has a rail trail and a grocery store) was about a 7-8 minute ride. The host was excellent. They were short staffed but she managed to run the hotel, including cleaning, all by herself. There's slim pickings for hotel rooms around the Gore Mountain area. This one worked out perfectly for us since we were hiking Gore Mountain which was only about 5 miles away. "
