Beautiful apartments in an excellent location
We had a wonderful stay at Cape Bay recently. The apartment was beautiful and really well furnished. Challenges experienced with the air conditioner, but these were quickly resolved. Wendy was fantastic and was available for any requests. Cleaning and security staff were great. The residence pool area was fantastic.

Great value compared to hotels
Grand Baie 5 km away. Apartment is right across street from beach park. Grand Baie is nice, but dining out was a disappointment. Thought culinary experience would be higher quality. Had some above average meals; one particularly bad one at La Jonque, reputed to be one of the area's best Chinese restaurants. Ordered 4 dishes, none were even marginally average. If you like to cook, best meals may be at home where kitchen is nicely equipped. Beaches are incredible to walk - sand, volcanic rock, grass paths.

Vacances à Bain Boeuf
we have spent 2 weeks in a 2bedroom apartment with our 5year old grandchild. It was a great stay eventhough the apartment was so dark inside that you need to keep the light switched on all day long.The beach across the street was closed (works on) so he had to drive to an other one. The staff was really nice and we have appreciated everyone.

Lack of care, badly maintained
Our time at Cape bay was beyond disappointing. A penthouse apartment with a broken air conditioner for two nights, a unflushable toilet that was not fixed along with a shower that was so clogged the water leaked out into the bedroom which made it also unusable. The unsatisfactory level of customer service from management was very upsetting. The general level of cleanliness in the apartment was so far below average... A filthy kettle that could not be used, complementary condiments that were already opened and half used, stained linen, unkept floor, dirty and dusty all around... It was advertised as a luxury apartment but that name on the sign say beach resort so don't be fooled. It was also advertised as having a private pool which is more like a jaccuzi and so dirty we did not use it once. I would honestly not recommend for anyone to stay here. To come all the way to Mauritius and have the experience at Cape bay taint our whole holiday has been disappointing.

Dear guest, We are sad to read your review today but are not surprised as we already discussed it together during your stay. Nevertheless, we would like to give additional information to future guests. When you first moved in and mentioned the issue with the toilet flush, we offered you to move to another unit in order for you to fully enjoy your 6-night stay with us. You declined the offer and choose to stay in the same unit (knowing that the issue was linked to the building so would be difficult to fix as it required bigger work). The air-conditioning was working at 80% and fixed the same day to your satisfaction. The 'complimentary condiments' you mentioned where indeed already opened and half used as the friends staying with you arrived earlier and decided to make use of them. We were not aware of any issue with the shower or the private plunge pool located on your terrace. We did not receive concurring feedback from guests checking-in later on but rest assured that we will check this nonetheless. On the level of service, we pride ourselves to be attentive to our guests needs and always do our best to ensure that clients make the most of their stay in Mauritius while being with us. However it seems that seeing you everyday and even driving you for some of your errands, offering you an alternative option as regards to your accommodation and a free transfer and late check-out did not meet your expectations. We were sorry not to have been able to give you the full stay refund you asked for but we believe that we did out utmost to make your stay with us enjoyable. CAPE BAY BY HORIZON HOTEL
Vi bodde en vecka och kostade 5600 kr, vi fick en jättelyxig lägenhet där alla i familjen fann sig väl tillrätta. Det negativa var väl att vi fick uppfattningen att alla lägenheter hade en egen liten pool, dock var så inte fallet med vår lägenhet vilket gjorde den minsta i familjen något besviken. Poolen i området är snygg men man kunde i princip bara simma fram och tillbaka inte så anpassat för barn även om det fanns grunt område. Det fanns ett gym helt ok men ganska lite utrustning. Det finns en pärm med resor och upplevelser man kan boka, undvik dyrt dåligt och inte informativt. Åk hellre in till Grand Baie och boka på plats.

Schönes modernes Apartment
Wir waren 2,5 Wochen vor Ort als Familie mit 5 Erwachsenen. Sehr schönes Maissonette-Apartment mit zwei Sonnenterassen. Die Wohnung war gut ausgestattet und wurde täglich gereinigt. Leider muss man sämltiche Wertsachen gut verschließen, da uns vom Zimmermädchen 50 EUR entwendet wurden. Der Manager war sehr aufmerksam und hat entsprechend gehandelt Auf Grund des vielen Regens hatten wir Wasserflecken an den Wänden und ein Bad war leider sehr feucht. Die Anlage mit tollem Pool ist sehr gepflegt und ruhig. Unsere Wohnung war leider direkt hat der Straße, die tagsüber doch ziemlich laut ist.

Excellent staff and well-planned huge apartments
The first impression was somewhat awkward as we found ourselves in a parking garage with no bearings over the resort itself. Also, the lack of a proper reception and an ad-hoc arrangement of obtaining the key from the security booth was confusing and hardly what could be associated with the marketed "luxury" label. That impression did not linger for long, however, as we were housed in a beautifully planned apartment with a well-equipped kitchen and beautiful views towards the pool and the beach beyond. But the number one strength of this resort is the service-minded staff. Whatever we asked for we received, if not immediately then well within the time we thought it could be fixed. Everything was held together by Sameer, who is undoubtedly the most professional host we have ever encountered at any resort. In addition, Sameer's combination of problem solving and friendly familiarity was matched by the rest of the staff, from security to housekeeping to pool maintenance. This is a place where every staff member makes you feel welcome and at home in every encounter, and always in a very natural manner. Such places are rare. We would strongly recommend Cape Bay to anyone that wants to feel 'at home while away.' One thing worthy of note: If your party includes young children or persons with physical impairments, make sure you get a ground floor apartment. The stairs are plentiful and steep.

Hôtel avec présence d'insectes
Une résidence qui est luxueuse avec une piscine magnifique et un accès pratique à la plage. Il faut une voiture pour se déplacer car il n'y a pas beaucoup de commerces et d'activités à proximité. Par contre, il y a des blattes et des lézards dans l'appartement. On nous a expliqué qu'il traitait le problème une fois par mois. On a été déçu!

Cher hote, Nous sommes attristés de lire que votre séjour parmi nous a été imp-acté par la présence d'insectes tropicaux et que ceci a reflété négativement sur l'ensemble de vos vacances malgrè les nombvreux services proposés par notre équipe (excursions étaient réservées à l'avance, diner de bienvenue, voiture de location..etc) qui semblaient vous avoir apporté satisfaction. Etant sous les tropiques, fourmis et gekho sont communs. Nous traitons une fois par mois comme avisé par les services sanitaires de de tourisme. A savoir que les gehkos portent meme bonheur ici. Schoon en mooi appartement
Schoon en mooi appartement. Wordt iedere dag schoongemaakt. Tegenover rustig en mooi strand. Winkels en restaurants zijn wel wat verder weg. Bushalte wel in de buurt en alles goed te doen met de bus.

Appartement confortable mais éloigné des commerces
Grand appartement bien équipé avec 2 chambres ayant chacune salle de bain ou douche La résidence est face à une belle plage mais éloignée des commerces et restaurants, heureusement nous avons eu la possibilité d'avoir un repas typiquement mauricien commandé 24h avant et livré à domicile grace au service de la résidence. Idéal si on a une voiture.

Cape Bay est effectivement situé à environ 10 minutes à pieds de Pereybère et, comme souvent à Maurice, il est conseillé de se déplacer en voiture/scooter/bus car l'ile ne compte que très peu de trottoirs. Celà permet également de profiter au maximum des différents sites et activités touristiques des environs - que Wendy, notre Property Manager, peut vous recommender. Very bad service and management: Part 1
The hard wares of the hotel and the service of the hotel were really bad and unacceptable. My friends and I, alothther 5 people stayed in Apartment A16 (a penthouse apartment which is for 6 people) for 9 nights from 8 to 16 Aug. During these 9 nights, there was not enough hot water supply. The hot water supply could only be enough for 3 people every night. In other words, 2 of us needed to take cold water shower. Can you imagine of taking cold water shower in winter in Mauritius?!

Sehr schöne, gut ausgestattete Wohnung für 4
Das Appartement befindet sich in einer sehr schönen Anlage in Blickrichtung Strand. Bei unseren Aufenthalt war der Strand leider im Umbau und daher fast nicht zu benützen. Das Appartement ist perfekt ausgestattet und bietet jeden notwendigen Komfort. Einzige witzige Neuheit : Toilettenpapier gibt es nur bei der Erstausstattung :)

Très belles prestations pour un prix très compétit
Très bel appartement, moderne et spacieux, avec tous les équipements nécessaires pour un séjour en famille. Décoration neutre et épurée. Grande terrasse et petit jardinet pour les appartements du rez-de-chaussée. Service aimable et discret. Gardiennage 24/24h. Superbe piscine extérieure. Proche de la pointe nord de l'île. En un mot : superbe. Prix ultra-abordable pour une famille moyenne. Seul bémol concernant la situation de l'hôtel : les bus terminent leur service à 18h30 et sans taxi ou voiture de location, il n'y a rien à proximité.

Hôtel confortable moderne mais plage impraticable
Bon accueil ! Complexe agréable avec appart fort confortable. Exposition face à la mer mais bruit de la route et trop à l ombre. Préférable d être au dernier étage mais penthouse trop onéreux !

La plage est en réaménagement et réouvrira ses portes aux estivant très prochainement. Concernant le bruit et la luminosité, tous nos appartements offrent des configurations légèrement différentes, cependant nos hôtes peuvent demander un appartement en rez-de-jardin ou à l'étage au moment de la réservation (sous réserve de disponibilité). Pour le penthouse, il peut accueillir 6 personnes contrat 4 ou 2 pour les appartements et est en duplex, d'ou la différence tarifaire. Très belle hotel très moderne
Hotel tres bien situé et tres moderne. Cuisine équipée avec tous les électroménager nécessaire. Clim etc. Mais le seule bémol c'est la propreté.

Appartement luxueux et très bien équipé. Malheureusement, la clim de notre chambre était en panne et internet ne fonctionnait pas correctement. De préférence, choisir un appartement côté jardin car côté route, c' est assez bruyant ( bus, motos,…) Sinon, globalement satisfait de ce choix
