Family and pet friendly. The cabin serves up beautiful views (even better than the pictures) and has access to 8 mountainside acres with boulder outlooks. Perfect getaway for family and friends. CABIN DESCRIPTIONS \- Full kitchen with stock of cooking essentials and spices \- Full bathroom with both shower and bath tub \- Half bath on the first floor by the laundry \- 2 bedrooms with one king and one queen sized beds \- 2 living areas, one perfect for board games and the other with TV and N64 \- Dining room with large table (seating for six) \- Very large deck space to take in the views \- Propane grill on the deck \- Access to \~10 acres with massive boulders for unobstructed views INFANTS AND KIDS Pack n Play available. Gate available to block stairway. Children's books available. Do not allow children outside or on decks unattended. 8 ACRES OF MOUNTAINSIDE The cabin is in a beautiful area against the national forest with multiple sets of boulders for unobstructed mountain views. FEEDBACK I started hosting in January 2020 and have been able to talk to many of my guests to get feedback to improve my hosting and space. One common comment from my guests is wishing they stayed longer. I have fallen in love with Bailey. Take time to enjoy it! SMOKING Smoking outside allowed. No smoking inside. Aspen Peak Cellar winery is one of our go-to spots for good food and wine along the river. There are also multiple restaurants, a brewery, and shops like the Chill Squirrel. GETTING AROUND AWD or 4WD in the winter is highly recommended. Driveway is plowed during snowfall. Easily accessible winter cabin. Due to the location of Bailey, Uber is not available nor is there public transportation. We loved the amazing views and took advantage of the hiking trails nearby. Staunton state park was very cool and about 20 minutes away. We also played disc golf at Bears Den, using the discs available for us at the cabin. The house was just as advertised- clean, comfy and had all of the necessary items to make for a great stay. The weather was amazing. We enjoyed cool Mornings and warm afternoons. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck and admiring the mountain and valley views. First off, it was undoubtedly the cleanest home I’ve stayed in. Immaculate. The view from the Living room is stunning. I found myself staring out the window constantly and watching the view change with the weather. The property itself is also beautiful with natural plants, rocks and trees enhanced by the owners’ own accents. The home is close to town and a lot of places to visit are nearby. We did a hike in nearby Staunton State Park and it was gorgeous. The owner was super friendly and very responsive to any questions we had. The views alone are worth every 5 star I could give!! The pictures on Marks listing show you exactly what you are getting and it was amazing. We explored his property and climbed to the top of the mountain and had even more incredible views, it was the perfect place for a family getaway! We had it snow 13” one day and it was so magical for people in Texas who don’t experience snow! I would definitely recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The house is tucked away on a mountain far off the road, so if you’re looking to get on the highway and get, this might not work for you. We so loved being off in the woods and not having to worry about traffic and neighbors. The cabin had everything we could need. Plenty of kitchen supplies, bedding, etc. Also, Mark was an amazing and gracious host. He was extremely communicative, plowed the driveway for us to get in and out. The property owners were so accommodating and kind, even bringing us a bottle of wine to try. This is a must-stay.
