"We absolutely loved our stay at Seren! As soon as we got there they showed us to our tent and it was so nice and cool inside. The ac worked great the whole time we were there. "The view from this hotel is amazing. The beds were comfortable and there is no need for AC because the mountains are cool at night. Staff were friendly but I didn't find them overly helpful, having to request information instead of it being offered freely but that seems to be a Costa Rican trait, not specific to this lodge. There isn't much to this place except beautiful views unless you book one of the tours. I didn't but later wished that I had. My biggest concern is that you must have...

"The location of the property is beautiful, set back from the road and elevated for a great view of the Pacific. We particularly enjoyed the Happy Hour each day at 5:00 to enjoy the fabulous sunsets. The pool, the colorful plants, the toucans, tanagers, orapendulas and numerous other birds added so much to our visit. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. Our 5 days spent at Cristal Ballena were top notch!"
