We had a great view of the pine trees and it felt overall peaceful. But you feel a bit rushed with the regular check-out reminders (letter through door, phone call, and light flickers 5mins before checkout time). We had every intent to check-out on time, so this felt annoying. They also made me wait 3 hours to resolve the issue while we were at the lobby and very uncomfortable without apologies. I spoke to manager who was not much help. The room given to me was cheap looking and did not look like what I expected from this place which was the most expensive in the area. Ambiance: The hotel exudes charm with its timeless architecture and cozy, warm interiors. Surrounded by lush pine trees, the ambiance was relaxing, perfect for a getaway from the city. Rooms: Our room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we loved the stunning view of the gardens and the city. Service: The staff was courteous, attentive, and always ready to assist. From check-in to check-out, everything was handled seamlessly. Dining: The food at Le Chef was exceptional! The breakfast buffet offered a variety of fresh and delicious options, and the dinner menu was just as delightful. Amenities: The Manor’s gardens were a highlight of our stay. We also enjoyed the spa and fitness facilities, which added to the relaxing vibe of the place. Location: Nestled in Camp John Hay, the hotel is conveniently located but still feels tucked away in nature. It’s close to Baguio’s attractions yet peaceful and serene. Overall, The Manor exceeded our expectations. It’s the perfect place to unwind and experience the beauty of Baguio City. We highly recommend staying here and can’t wait to come back! What i didnt like is during the evening there was a wedding and the noise is audible in the room Until 10PM. I hope hotel doesn’t allow events on the garden due to noise in the rooms. The staff were courteous except for the one in the front desk which took a lot of time during check in because probably she was new. What i did not like also was that i find the “extra person” charge misleading. I thought extra person will not be charged if not using extra bed as what one reservations officer told me (I clarified this day before checking in so i was surprised upon chek in on a different statement). If you use the same bed, extra person will still be charged (in excess of two). Be mindful as breakfast is not yet inculded in the room rate. Overall still a pleasant stay except for some nuisances which could have been avoided. Hotel was quiet despite the season, safe and tranquil. Customer service was average. Checking in was slow but efficient, checking out was a hassle (took 30 minutes to do so at 5:30am). Imagine entering your hotel room with a random person’s phone charging by the bathroom (finding out later that it’s the room cleaner’s, no apologies given). They even forgot to provide us free drinking water which they tried to charge us upon checking out. Room was average as there’s no AC. Even with the windows open and the ceiling fan on, we were sweating all night. Extra hard to find taxi or ride in this hotel. It was just an overnight stay, and we left feeling disappointed. Been to Baguio multiple times and stayed in different hotels before, not worth paying $$.
