I was always attracted to the architecture and the landscaping so when it came time for a short visit to the city, I chose to stay here. One great favor they did to me and my daughter was allow us to check in at 7 am even if their stated check in time is 2 pm. After a 16 hour plane trip and an additional 6 hour bus ride on a freezing Victory Liner bus from Pasay to Baguio (after being harassed by taxi hustlers at the Manila International Airport about riding in their taxi)---that early check in was a HUGE favor I will always remember. I reserved a room for three but was told at check in that the bathroom was shared. For a higher fee, we got a room with our own bathroom. This was located on the ground floor so footsteps (both human and animal) can be heard when in the room. At night, some creature scampered excitedly overhead----at first it seemed like it was a small dog running across the hall upstairs. Later, I realized the creature seemed to be running between floors. Breakfast was delicious, but quality was not consistent. One morning, the eggs served were cold. However, the overall experience was positive. This is an old, charming bed and breakfast in a city that has gotten too crowded and has lost its charm for the most part.
