The historic spa architecture house is nestled in the unspoilt nature of the picturesque Kirnitzsch Valley, between Kirnitzsch and the edge of the forest at the foot of Ostrauer Berg. The villa is easily accessible by car via a quiet residential road. From the windows and balconies of the apartment, the view sweeps over the forests of the national park, the golden sandstone cliffs and the sparkling Kirnitzschbach stream. Opposite our holiday residence, the Kirnitzschtalbahn railway runs through the entire valley, past the Ostrauer Mühle mill and the Beuthenfall waterfall to the Lichtenhainer Wasserfall waterfall. The historic narrow-gauge railway, 30% of whose energy requirements are covered by solar energy, winds its way along the bizarre rock formations of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. In the other direction, the tram reliably takes its guests from the national park to the centre of Bad Schandau. The town centre can also be reached on foot after a 20-minute walk along the idyllic Flößersteig trail. Absolutely amazing to stay at for me and my friend. It is a beautiful place and also has easy walking and transportation to lots of areas and towns. We ended our 4th stage of the Malerweg trail early and took the bus down for easy access to our place and ended the 5th stage a little later and drank some beer at the Biergarten by the waterfall.
