I stay for one night with my mother for a visit to Dumfries House. There was no record of our booking when we arrived but it wasn’t a problem and we were given a room in the annex. All was great although next time we would prefer to stay in the main hotel. We ate there on Saturday evening and the food was delious. The hotel recen changed hands and the new owners are renovating it to a high standard. Nice hotel. We stayed in the Kirk House. Rooms were lovely and clean and bed was comfortable. Plumbing a bit off and on (ie taps stuck on or off and hard to use and water a bit unpredictable in shower). But food lovely and staff very welcoming and helpful. ##### laney1161 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Greg, Strathmore Vic Australia 10 août 2016 Points forts : Propreté, service et personnel, état et installations de l’hébergement et confort de la chambre. #### An idyllic country setting Set on a working farm Enterkine House Hotel is comprised of the house itself which includes a lounge reception room with a large fireplace and an annex - the kirk, which has another 4 or 5 bedrooms and ensuites. Meals - breakfast and dinner are taken in the dining room that overlooks a wood and farming land. Very peaceful and quiet, with great views of the countryside. We were staying in the main house. We went to see Rod Stewart in Kilmarnock - only a 20 / 25 min drive away. Stayed for 2 nights at the hotel. We only had breakfast, but it was really good. Service was excellent. We stayed in the Kirk house beside the hotel (not so good when it's raining). The rooms are comfortable and well decorated /furnished. The water pipes were a bit noisy but very quiet aside from that. Really good choice at breakfast although would have preferred a pot of tea.
