Beautiful Hamilton stay with a climb
Over all it is such a beautiful and relaxing home. However I wish there was a point made about how small the washer and dryer loads have to be. Also I was there for scuba with my husband and we have our own BCD's, tanks and all wet suit gear along with our luggage so hauling it all up and down the stairs sucked. Good thing we are both very fit. I also find the beds to be extremely soft and dented in in the the areas where people sleep. They need to be updated. Also 2 of the three bathroom sinks do not drain well at all. And lastly if you are taller than 5'9 the shower head is going to be to short. I know I was really laying it all out but I felt those should. be mentioned and hopefully taken care of. It was very nice to stay at this home and the host was very prompt in her communication.

Beautiful Views
I loved celebrating my Birthday in Catalina! The property has amazing views and it was very clean. It had everything that we needed even Birthday candles for my cake. My only complaints would be that I was disappointed that there wasn’t a shower head in the master bath and way too many stairs to get to the condo. Over all we had a great time and will visit the Island again. My advice to anyone that visits for the first time would be to do your homework regarding transportation. We flew in our plane and landed on the Island. Transportation from the airport to the condo was very pricey. We were also told quite a few different prices depending on who we spoke to. So just be cautious and make sure you are being told the truth regarding transportation pricing. Other than that it was amazing!

Birthday Shenanigans
My friends and I had a great time celebrating my boyfriend's birthday. We enjoyed each morning on the balcony taking in the beautiful views. The beds were comfortable and the place was clean. Yes, a lot of stairs, but nothing we couldn't handle. We had a slight issue at check-in, but Chela (prop mgr) was on it! Overall the trip was fantastic and we would totally stay here again. We love Mike (the Buffalo)

This Condo was perfect for our family vacation. The views are awesome and so relaxing. The whole community is beautiful and we loved the fact that it comes with a golf cart to go around the island. Just be aware that it is at the top of the building and there are 73 stair steps to climb to get to the condo but other than that it was wonderful!

Lovely but a few things to know
Well cared for space with nice spaces. We had my 82 yr old mom with us and had no heads up that there were 75 steps up to unit. Yikes. Also there are step downs within the unit that had non operating motion lights. We did have falls as a result. Beautiful unit and view and island. Well appointed for all your needs. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

Amazing Amazing Amazing....10+
Everything about this trip was amazing for our family. From the home to the view to the amenities to the service we were blown away. First the home. Everything we needed was included and the themed decor made for such a fun experience. You could tell the designer put some time into capturing the history and feel of Catalina Island. The view is spectacular - especially at night as you can see the lights from the California coast. We were in the south of France earlier this summer and I would take the Hamilton Cove view everyday of the week. All the units have stairs, but my word it is worth the walk for the serene and spectacular views. The house was well acquainted and everything worked well. We particularly enjoyed the golf cart and the access it gave us to the island. But, the home and view was so nice and instantly put everyone in a good mood so we didn't want to leave, EVER. The service team was so nice and professional and helpful I want to give a shout-out to Jennifer and Olivia who obviously care about their guests experience and helped us tremendously. We will be back again and again. We would highly recommend this rental for anyone unless you do not want to walk up the stairs then you should not stay in Hamilton Cove. We use VRBO's all over the country and I would put this experience at the top of the list.

What a VIEW!
Room view was phenomenal. Ate outdoors several times with 180 degree ocean view of the deep blue waters full of life, both animals and humans! :) Temperatures were wonderfully balmy, open windows all night long for breezy deep sleep every night. Every kitchen gadget you would ever need, beds were super comfortable, large shower, deep soaking bathtub, mahogany cabinetry was notable. And golf cart available to come and go as you please. It was a perfect stay, the quarters were beautiful and sturdy. We had so much fun. You can't choose a better experience.

Rancho Relaxo
Rancho Relaxo was just that - very relaxing. The location is a quick 10 minute golf car ride from town. The unit is reached by a number of stairs but you are rewarded with spectacular panoramic views on a long expansive deck. The unit was very clean and had all the amenities one could ask for including a golf cart although the golf cart could use an upgrade. Keep in mind that the master bath has only a tub, no shower. There is a shower in the second bath. We would definitely stay here again.

Hamilton Cove Stay
This property was clean with amazing views and a fun property to stay at with a pool and jacuzzi. It was so nice to have the golf cart. The house was comfortable and had a nice kitchen. This would be a great condo to stay at with your children as far as sleeping arrangements but this condo is not set up for two couples. The second bedroom was so tiny it didn’t have room for luggage and didn’t have a closet. This condo is a two bathroom but only the main bathroom had a shower. The master bathroom only has a tub so both couples had to share the main shower. The master suite was super nice and roomy with a huge closet. Also something to be aware of is the amount of stairs you have to climb to get to the unit. Upon arrival the lock box was open with key in it and anyone could access it and the housekeepers left mops on porch. Over it was a great quiet and beautiful place to stay.

Hamilton Cove!!
The only place to be in Catalina. Gated and quiet community. Picturesque view from the balcony. Spacious and clean. Golf cart provided. Tennis courts.. Just up the hill from everything.. My only complaint was the shared/ communal balcony. The neighbors/renter were super loud and obnoxious on the balcony.

Not impressed. Furnace only worked in main living area, bedrooms not. Hot tub was under construction without saying anything or advising prior to booking. Golf cart cover was damaged and riding around was cold, noisy, and flaps kept hitting us. Very disappointed. Teued to resolve issue but no luck....stay away from this place.

Great Birthday Trip
It was our first time here at the Island and staying at this villa made it an epic time! House was perfect size for what we needed. We went at a very hot time and there was only one fan in the house so an extra fan or two would have been good to have. Other than that, we would definitely stay again!

Amazing Luxury Condo
This condo was absolutely beautiful and the property was also breathtaking. We are so greatful for the hospitality and flexibility of our host Olivia. The place was clean and the decor was very nicely done. We enjoyed our stay and wish it could have been a longer stay. We were able to explore the island in the nice Golf-cart that came with the stay to which made it easy to do the most in one day! We would definitely stay here again!

The views were spectacular, the townhome was basically very nice. The second bedroom is really quite small with out a closet or any place to hang things and the master bath only has a tub so we all had to use the second bathroom shower. Lots of ants so had to be almost sterile so as no to wake up to ant colony in the kitchen. Also, four flights of stairs to climb getting to the unit, might say it will keep you in shape. Had the taxi driver take up luggage, needless to say he earned his tip. Kitchen is well equipped with pots and pans along with utensils and serving dishes. Aside from a few minor inconveniences we had a great stay. Very relaxing and fantastic weather!

Great location and property. Specific unit is tired and old. No AC in building and it was very hot at night. Fans didn't work properly. Many of the doors didn't lock properly. No filter for coffee maker. Tiles missing from tub deck and handles broken on some of the drawers. Few pieces of the exterior furniture were broken and some extra pieces of furniture on back deck that didn't belong. Aunts in unit and cleaning was just OK. We enjoyed walking to town and enjoyed the view from the unit but building and unit in need of overhaul.

Great Ocean View.
Condo was clean and came well equipped. Be aware that this condo is accessed by 4 flights of stairs. No elevator access. If you don't mind the hike that then I highly recommend this place. Very comfortable, great views.

Fabulous views and spacious condo
We love this unit in Hamilton Cove. It was everything we wanted in a quick overnight to Catalina. Having early access to the golf cart made getting to and from town convenient. We dropped our bags and had lunch, and did some shopping before returning to the condo for sunset. It was interesting that is no shower in the master bedroom, just a tub, and with a drought that was out of the question. Also, the description states a murphy bed in the office, and this unit did not have one and that was a bit disappointing. A good experience overall.

The pros: Great location. Deck w/ stunning views & bbq. Spacious dining area & living room w/ample seating & large newer couch. Comfy bed in master. Lots of portable fans. Convenience of having own golf cart. Cons: lighting throughout unit is really terrible, especially in kitchen & bathrooms. Numerous missing lightbulbs, broken fixtures & strange/inoperable switches. Inadequate amount of lighting in general. We had to move a small table lamp into kitchen to improve visibility while cooking. Only one set of safety lights installed on the various step downs throughout unit work so beware! Came real close to taking a header numerous times, especially at night going into kitchen & master. No Murphy bed, table or chair as shown in guest bedroom. Instead, there was a regular bed which was so hard/uncomfortable we opted to sleep on the couch instead so honestly didn’t find second bedroom really very useful. Also, only two clean bath towels in entire unit upon checking in. No kitchen/beach towels or bath mats either. After searching throughout unit we finally discovered a full load of wet towels left in washing machine & another full load of wet towels left in dryer. Dryer didn’t work so there was no way to dry any of them other than hanging in sun on balcony. This was discovered after we took a shower (which btw, is NOT in master bath) so really had to scramble to find a way to dry off. Upon notifying management, we did receive replacement towels later in day but I think it’s worth noting that they were a far cry from the high end/designer ones w/matching bath mats shown in pictures and unit description. Coffee machine initially had wrong carafe so we had trouble brewing coffee first morning as well. This was also rectified, but between that & no clean towels, first day definitely started off rocky! There was also a discarded coffee table blocking the side entrance to the balcony that we had to navigate around & gym was closed entire stay so couldn’t use. We had a great trip overall, but in terms of maintenance this unit simply feels neglected. The potential is there, but it’s definitely not being kept up to the level I was expecting based on other reviews. I really can’t stress enough on how much just a few electrical/lighting updates and taking the time to replace all broken/ missing bulbs, fixtures, and basic kitchen supplies & toiletries would go in improving the overall comfort/appeal of the unit. So close :(

We loved the beautiful views of the blue ocean. The place is pretty much as advertised. We enjoyed the patio and use of the golf cart. The 2nd bedroom is very small so we had to use blow up mattress in the living room for our older son. Bedding for that was a hodgepodge of sheets/blankets. A few issues: 1) Cart wasn’t full of gas when we arrived. We still filled at the end. 2) The bed in 2nd room broke so our son had to move to couch in the middle of the night, but they fixed it the next day. 3) No garbage bags but they brought some next evening. All in all, it was great place to stay and we’d recommend it!

Very pretty setting. Only issue was no hangers (or coffee?!) when we arrived. Ask manager to send some hangers up for wedding suits and dresses to hang. Picked up coffee at the local market. Otherwise, all good.

Would absolutely stay here again. 4 things not covered by owner or Vrbo reviews(or reviews from that other rental site). 1) the key unlocks the upper and lower mechanism. Turn clockwise till the upper(dead bolt) unlocks and continue to unlock the bottom. 2) You can drop off your passengers above the condo. Stop at the steps marked of condo 8 & 10 and 18 & 20. Then they can walk down 70 plus steps to the condo.Instead of walking up 70 plus steps from the cart parking spot. 3) the balcony is a little bigger than the picture implies. When we stayed it had six chairs. 4) Cell Service. our friends had Verizon we have AT&T. Perfect cell service for Verizon. Absolutely zero bars for AT&T every where in Hamilton Cove(Iphone 12's). "Landline" in condo works fine. So we set up WiFi calling on the phones and that works fine within the condo. Again the rental was excellent.

Great place - great communication
Overall, the place was really great and communication with Olivia and Chela (island support person) was really wonderful. Chela was super helpful doing things last minute and bringing over things like a heater and an extension cord. The golf cart was great to have. You have to pick up the back seat to fill it, which took someone mentioning to me. The view was unbelievable. The hot tub was marvelous. Being able to workout with a view of the water? Wow. Only thing I'd comment on was some documentation stating that there was a new heater in the bedroom, and it ultimately didn't work. They did coordinate to get us a heater and it did work out. It was uncharacteristically cold when we arrived, so I think we wanted the heater more than would generally be applicable. Would recommend.

Incredible views and the space very comfortable. Having the 6 persons golf cart was a lifesaver getting back and forth to the 2021 JazzTrax festival venues. There were a couple minor maintenance issues but nothing that we couldn't handle. Online pictures are a very accurate depiction of this property.

We had a lovely stay! The views from the condo are beautiful and we loved driving the golf cart to get to town. We’ve stayed in Hamilton Cove before and this property is more updated than others we’ve stayed in. A few minor details could improve the property further like replacing the light bulbs in the kitchen and replacing the shower caddy in the shower, but these things did not detract from a very enjoyable stay. We would definitely consider this property again for our next stay on Catalina.

misleading bedrooms, 1 master &n 1small study converted no room to move arround.
The view was amazing, the stairs was excruciating and not disclosed we had to go up 5-6 levels, each time in and out of the condo, it had differed maintenance, over all the experience besides the location was disappointing.

Home was just like the pictures but the ocean views were even better! Loved waking up to have coffee on the balcony. I wish we had more time there. Having the golf cart was a huge plus! The stairs were intense, especially since we had family with feet and hip issues, but they made the complex even more charming. We were married here and took the most beautiful pictures at Hamilton cove. This was one of the nicest condos inside and was cute and updated, especially compared to condos at Hamilton Cove. Would definitely stay here again.

Disappointed considering the cost to rent this property along with all of the fees! ...Broken Drawer in Kitchen, ants that came in to the bathroom! Per night rates were strangely discounted after I paid my fees. When I asked to have the difference refunded, I was flatly told no. Note: We rented FOUR other condos in Ham. Cove and this one Bld. 4/16 needed much more TLC. Still...Toilet paper holder in master bath was falling off the wall. Drawer in kitchen was still broken as described by an earlier renter and laying on the counter. Window in 2nd bedroom wouldn't close. Two chairs on patio with seat bottoms broken. Lights to highlight stairs into master bedroom not working. Almost tripped down the stairs at night. Many of these annoyances could have been easily fixed and we were assured by the host that they would be by our rental date, as these issues were described by another renter in a review from July, 2021. Health and safety issues relative to the ants and night lights and bedroom window not closing need to be corrected asap. Note: The local on-island handler was very helpful and understanding and tried to mitigate the ant problem. She was outstanding.
