We keep an immaculate, cozy home perfectly nestled near the best Austin has to offer. Pecan Street Cafe, Clark's, Lin Asian Bar, and Swedish Hill restaurants are next door! The apartment is a 1b/1b with outside stone porch, beautiful garden area and comfy beds (1 queen bed in bedroom and 1 queen sofa futon in living room). Walkable to Clarksville restaurants (Pecan Street Cafe, Clark's, Lin Asian Bar, and Swedish Hill, Cipollina, Josephine House, Jeffery's), Cafe Medici (coffee house), grocery stores (Whole Foods and Fresh Plus), gym & yoga studios as well as various neighborhood parks. Other details to note: Not for guests who want to party. No parties or excessive noise; No loud noise after 9 pm weekdays and 10 pm weekends (residential area). Please be mindful as loud sounds can easily disturb other guests and/or neighbors. Early check-in: Generally guests check-out and then we need several hours to sparkle and clean the apartment. Generally, you can check-in early after 11:30 am, as long as you know that the space will probably not yet be clean. Late check-out: If no guests are checking-in on the day that you leave, you can usually have a late check-out at 11 am. Otherwise, we will need to start cleaning to be ready for the next guests. Bag drop: You are always welcomed to drop you bags off early or leave them to pick up later in the day (if so contact us beforehand so that we can make arrangements). Parking: Feel free to use EITHER ONE of the two spots available is the carport (back of house). However, DO NOT use the other spot as it is reserved. Getting Around: Although we recommend renting a car if you are planning on traveling outside of Austin, there are many ways of getting around central Austin: · Ride shares (Lyft, Uber) (few people use taxis anymore in Austin). · Dockless electric bikes, scooters, and mopeds (Bird, Lime, Wheels, etc.). · Austin MetroBike (bike share that uses docking stations - less popular than the dockless options). · CapMetro (Austin's public transportation, but it is not popular). This was my experience: - a lot of noise. Alley is behind businesses and they all use trash/recycling bins accross from the front door. Additionally, there was constant construction going on with a building being renovated, a neighbor redoing their backyard and Texas Gas fixing a gas line (opening up the road in the process). - this is an old house with single pane windows so no noise insulation. - more noise from loud bubbles coming out of toilet every time upstairs occupants flushed. - walking/running noises from upstairs - noise and sanitary issues with mice living in the walls and scratching all day long. - on my last evening, the sewer line plugged up, inflating the bathroom floor with water and the bathtub with sewage (human excrement) - mold and mildew around bath tub - cracks in the paint/tile in bathroom and throughout the house. It was centrally located to the park, night life and great restaurants. The house was also well stocked with all of the essentials. There’s also a cute patio to enjoy your morning coffee on! The only downside was the garbage and landscapers came between 6:00 - 7:00 am on Friday and Saturday. There was also an unidentifiable noise from the upstairs unit that ran about once an hour that sounded like a automatic liter box, garbage compactor, not sure but it was very loud and lasted approximately 30 seconds.
