Unwind in the main living area with a stereo system for your soundtrack, stay connected with WiFi, and refresh your wardrobe with the in-home washer and dryer. Step outside to the backyard/garden space for morning coffee or an evening wind-down. Driveway parking for two cars keeps arrivals simple, and additional metered street parking is available as needed. From here, you’re minutes from south Austin favorites, with easy access to the Texas State Capitol, the Congress Bridge bats, the Greetings from Austin mural, Zilker Park and Barton Springs Pool (with paddleboard and kayak rentals), Lady Bird Lake trails, and the legendary bars and clubs along 6th Street. They provided 4 other options, none of which fit our needs. For over an hour our group searched alt options, paid to store our luggage & halted our trip to figure this out in a panic. It felt as though we were being scammed into another listing, all of which were half of what we paid. When I responded that none of the options provided met our needs & I wanted a refund, the story changed. The “manager” said they now had a cleaner on site & it would be ready soon. I was told 12 minutes past check-in the unit was ready. None of it made sense. Why was I called & told it was no longer available if it was just going to be an hour past? They wasted my time, caused panic to the group & were extremely rude & not understanding of our concern. Ultimately, we did get into the house & it was NOT cleaned. There was hair in each restroom, floors had spots/spills, bedding did not smell fresh & more. I was told the cleaning fee would be waived based on the delay with the original cleaner but it should be waived based on the fact the unit was not cleaned prior to our arrival. The home overall was nicely decorated to the description of eclectic. It has a good flow for groups. The air conditioning was freezing in some rooms & non-existent in others which was hot for summer nights. It should also be noted that trash trucks arrive EVERY SINGLE MORNING to service restaurants nearby - lots of noise. ##### Renee F. It was a great place to sit and chat in the living room and it was nice that we each had our own bedroom and bathroom. The bed linens were super comfy and the house was interesting and we enjoyed all the artwork. This is definitely a quirky old place so if you don’t love that, it’s not the right place! Our group included 2 adults and 3 teens/young adults. There was ample space for all, and a fun outdoor area to enjoy when 2 other family members joined us for a visit. The house has a very cool vibe, was immaculate and the pictures are very accurate. We were literally 1 block from S. Congress, so it was easy to walk to where a lot of the local action is. Parking for 2 cars in driveway. Master bedroom bed is very high. Luckily, there are stools for climbing in. 3 bedrooms and a pull out couch in a loft. 3 bathrooms. Kitchen was well stocked. Nice quiet neighborhood, but right next to the very happening South Congress neighborhood, with bars, restaurants & some of the top music venues in Austin. We’ll be back! ##### William H. We loved all the curios, prints and paintings. The beds were comfortable and the linens super comfy. A few suggestions: we think the upstairs bathroom in the hall was totally missed for household cleaning. The toilet seat was loose. There was no toilet paper and no vanity kit that was in all the others. We wished there had beef tissues in the bathrooms. The top step was loose on the stairs. We wish there had been a standing light in the living room. The overhead lights were a little bright. However, we would still highly recommend this place to stay in and would definitely stay there again ourselves. ##### Lynn W.
