Guests can enjoy a scenic view of Lady Bird Lake and the city beyond while taking a walk along The Boardwalk. Getting Around: We recommend that guests rent a car during your stay in Austin as many of Austin’s best attractions and fun things to do are scattered around the city and much more convenient when accessed by car. While there are certainly public transportation options such as buses and individual transportation options such as scooters/bikes/mopeds, these options are mainly convenient and readily available around the downtown Austin area and quickly becomes sparse even a couple miles outside of city center. Please be aware. \- Please be aware that Texas is known for having all sorts of bugs and creatures, especially during the summer, that wander around and can sometimes get into the home. Bugs and creatures such as silverfish, earwigs, cockroaches/waterbugs, scorpions, spiders, wasps, mosquitoes, flies, snails, moths, ants, etc. are all very common in Texas and the South in general, and might show up in the home from time-to-time. The presence of a few of these critters does not indicate any sort of infestation in the home, as usually it's just the critters trying to escape the blistering heat or the freezing cold like everyone else. Pets ARE allowed depending on size, please let us know beforehand and be upfront about bringing a pet to avoid cancellation. This is an apartment in a complex. It’s not the nicest party of town, but we did not feel unsafe. Easy to Uber around and to go downtown. I would not walk anywhere from this location. Quiet neighborhood that was an easy uber ride to downtown. We loved Buzz Mill and walked there every day. We were also an easy walk to EpicSUP and had a great time kayaking on Lady Bird Lake. The apartment could use some cosmetic TLC. There was an entire shelf missing from the refrigerator. There were lightbulbs out in both bathrooms and the main closet. There was significant mold in the one bathroom. The ceiling of the shower in one bathroom had been removed and was being repaired from a leak upstairs (not the fault of the owner of this unit). We received an email about this issue 1 1/2 hours before we were to check in. Even though there was plastic wrap over the ceiling, we did not feel comfortable using the shower due to the fact that there was exposed drywall, as well as the walls of the shower being pretty dirty. The property manager wasn't willing to adjust the price because of the inconvenience. Otherwise, communication was good with property manager. They had someone come to adjust all of the toilet seats when we reached out to let them know they were both in need of some attention. Overall, good place, but seems like it could use more frequent visits from the property manager. ##### Heidi K.
