Its a beautiful historic hotel near golfing. Rooms have lots of space. Beds, comforters, and pillows are super comfortable. Everything is exceptional.

The outside balcony was excellent. Loved the rooftop bar. The fire alarm did go off at 5:30am our first morning which was a bit annoying.

Didn't like that the parking was not identified when reserving a room unless you happened to click on a link that then showed I would be changed a fee. This property is not good at all for elderly people. Too many steps. No handicap ramp to walk up. The A/C compressor kept going off in one of the rooms I had reserved so the room stayed at 76 degrees which was too warm and humid all night. The Inn could not discount my room rate since I used a third party to reserve my rooms. Was not at all impressed staying at this Inn.

We enjoyed the property, nicely decorated and more of a boutique vibe. Loved the wrap around balcony and charm. Everyone we encountered was pleasant. Room was clean and updated. Reasons we did not give it five stars: housekeeping on our floor at 7-8 pm was very loud speaking on their walkie and slamming doors off and on the throughout the evening. I know the place is older and not sound proof but it did not appear that they tried to lower their voices, etc. Had reservations to eat at the highly rated restaurant on site. Reviews mentioned to expect to spend $75-$100pp w/o drinks. No prices in the menu. Once seating, it was very underwhelming. No privacy, tables very close together. It felt like we were in everyone’s conversation around us. On top of that, the waiter at the hostess stand was taking room service orders on speaker for all of us to enjoy. I knew I’d be disappointed if we spent $200 on a meal in that environment, it did not feel like an upscale date night. We decided to leave and try something else.

We mostly just slept here Our bed was comfortable. Our 5th floor room was miles better than our 2nd fl room. We can't rate the hotel a 10 for some details are not perfect. The vents in the rooms all needed cleaning, dust was visible from the outside and on the ceiling, the desk chairs are peeling and tattered, the sheer curtains should not be a dirty beige. Some color in the room would be nice. Also we can see all the areas where touch up paint was applied because it wasn't in the same texture as original paint. The $20 per day to park your own car seems over the top and just an additional source of revenue for hotel- valet while nice when you arrive just doesn't make sense when you leave as the one person. At the door has to leave their post to get your car... The lobby is pretty and the bed was comfortable. The room and bathroom were clean. 💯

Very clean and beautiful place. The lobby is a very nice space to enjoy a cup if coffee. The restaurant has a libely layout and wrap around porch is an great place to relax. The hotel has an old and romantic feel .

Decently managed and clean place but the room walls were paper thin. The floor layout is extremely dense and you have 5-6 rooms together in a small area which leads to zero privacy. We could hear conversations in adjacent rooms and I could even hear the neighbors snoring! Breakfast was pretty good.

Charming it where it stops for me!
Sorry, but the pictures were better than in-person. I loved the historic nature of the building, but that's about where it stops. The site has a lot to fix as far as renovations. That's what you get with a 1900s building. The porch was an amazing place to sit and relax, but heaters were either not working or not on. The balcony rooms are really not situated in a place that offers the great view that you see in the pictures. The courtyard that is reflected in the pictures is not available for all guests, so do not think that you are going to sit under the stars out there. It's actually tied to only one suite. The overall feel of the hotel to me was just old. I think it has lot of charm, but for the $$$, it could be better. Invest some of that $$$ back into the property, not just a lot of patch jobs.

They didn’t even bother to empty the trash cans nor replace the shampoo. Only front room cooled (freezing), the bedroom had no ventilation. My 3 yr had to sleep in front room. But… for some reason (convenient) we stay there every time we come to visit my family. I have noticed that we very seldom see any of our friends staying there any longer. Almost feels like a lot of locals go there to have party weekends. I’m sure we’ll be back…

Comfortable historic hotel with modern upgrades. As long as you remember it is a historic building from 1910 and can appreciate the period you’ll enjoy the experience. Staff were all very nice and helpful. Check in was quick. Rooms were comfortable. Pool area was nice. Southern Living type of property.

Love the charm and history of the PI.
