Communcation was great from reception staff. The apartment itself was tidy but not clean and had a bad smell to it. And even though fans were provided, it was still too hot. It was also not cleaned daily. Rubbish was the only thing that was emptied during our stay.

Infested with cockroaches. Room service did not properly clean rooms. Location was mostly good and staff at front desk were helpful. However, cannot recommend in good conscience given how bad the roaches and cleanliness were.

It was a central place to stay close to motorway and across from public transport. Nice big park across the road and a bay for your car. Stayed over New Year and not to noisy

The property is in a very dodgy area, we could not sleep due to noise outside, heavy partying, loud music & young ones running a muck across the road at the park at 3am. The pillowcases & sheets seem like they hadn’t been washed, the rooms smell like body odour, the cleanliness level of the entire place was a 3/10 for us. Portable Air con unit, with pipe outside the window. For the price we paid, I definitely felt like it was overpriced for what we got. Elevator was playing up when we arrived, so we walked 10 flights of stairs to our room with our suitcases. I definitely would not stay here again with my children. Exception - the reception staff was helpful & kind.

On the 8th floor the view over South Auckland was stupendous. Its downhill from there. No hairdryer. Not a single coat hanger so why bother giving you wardrobes? We asked reception. Nope there were none. No sink plugs so water wastage. Finally the traveler shares the building with the homeless and socially deprived. Hence strewn fish and chip papers were all over the entrance and car park...and security of vehicles can be challenging. New Zealand has adopted this housing policy and post covid hospitality owners have glady took it. Now the genuine traveler has to put up with it. We were booked to go back here next week but we cancelled. Not worth the money.

Great location for events in Manakau City and easy walk to the mall. Beds were only double in size and very small rooms with no fresh air available apart from opening the ranch slider.

poorly appointed apartment advertised as short time accommodation. portable A/C supplied as no A/C installed in unit. a Welcome brochure would have been nice as to what was available in the unit. Not suitable as motel style accom.

Bit dodgy
Beds were comfortable. Towels were smelly and ripped/frayed. Half patched up holes in walls. Awful water pressure in shower. Super friendly staff after being overcharged. Parking was easy, right outside building. Downfall, a lot of undesirable people in area and obviously living there. Got into lift with some of them, clearly obvious they were carrying a lot of marijuana. Was terrible. Very noisy at night being on a flight path.

This hotel is used for social housing and is not noted on the website. The car park is not secure, and the office is not manned 24/7. Constant screaming and fighting/arguing coming from different apartments throughout the night. Do not stay here.

Felt so unsafe. Noisy. Undesirable people loitering around entrance and hallways. No secure parking. Didn’t have my cot request on booking so asked to pay extra $10 for dirty stained cot that we would have to lug up to room and set up ourselves. Went up to room, beds looked dirty, hallway light pouring into bedroom window, hear doors slamming, only heat/cooling were dirty portables in corner. We walked straight out and returned the key. Got our $10 back for cot but as room was non-refundable we just walked out and booked elsewhere. No way my family was going to be sleeping there.

VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER!!!!!
We had a disappointing stay. We booked at MCentral because of the location being close to what we travelled to Auckland for, also because of how it was portrayed on the website. We feel that this is NOT an accurate representation of what it's like to stay at MCentral Apartments Manukau. There was a few things broken in the room, there were also several cockroaches popping up in our room throughout out 4day stay. There was heavy police activity throughout our stay, with the police attending various things like partying, gang member arguements, drug and alcohol related issues. My children had to witness this and I was so disappointed in that !!!! There was loud partying every night & the whole place smelt like marijuana being smoked. We also paid extra for a carpark however weren't able to use it as other people kept parking in our assigned carpark - I spoke to the receptionist team about the carpark issue and my concerns regarding police , partying etc and they were not helpful at all and nothing was done. The toilets in the lobby were discustinly dirty with urine all over the floors!!!! We are so disappointed in our stay. We will not be a returning customer and we would not recommend this place to anybody !!!!

Has potential as really nice accomodation. Nice kitchen and bathroom. Nice views. But the beds are not that nice and the walls in the bedrooms are gross. Snot found on walls! Also seems to be an emergency housing area so lots of noisy people walking around and homeless in foyer

This apartment was externally misleading, it looked nothing like what was shown online. They never thought to mention that this apartment was used for emergency housing. There was a lot of sketchy people and we checked out on the first day. We even had social services telling us to leave this place because it is not safe there.

I chose not to stay here regardless of whether I got a refund or not. The main reasons for me deciding not to stay here were: It didn't feel like anyone cared for the place or the people staying there. The perspex in the reception area was roughly cut (uninviting). The perspex covering the Level 9 signage was broken. The vege bin in the fridge in the room I was supposed to stay in was broken. The lift nearest the middle of the building smelled of vomit (though I could not see any). I hope more care can be given to the building and people here through the small details because there is definitely a need for good serviced apartments in that location. I have used the neutral face for a rating, mainly because I didn't end up staying there.

the night manager on may 3, 2023 was not helpful at all and very disrespectful and lacking skills in handling customers period. Thank goodness we were spared the opportunity to stay there and experience the bad ratings people have given them, and we were 3 seniors trying to have a good holiday in NZ given the already wild weather when we came in.

I was quite hesitant about our stay as started reading the reviews re: noise and cockroaches etc but was pleasantly surprised, the room was very clean and the day service was decent. Beds were comfy, Some aging to the room, a few marks in the bathroom etc. no roaches whatsoever and no sign of them. No issues with other guests/residents…. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant but we were in our room by 6pm with our small children. Bonus was a dishwasher. Room was quite warm so I imagine could be stifling in summer.

The hotel needing some TLC most walls in the hotel including the lift had holes in the wall. Reception did not give us any information regarding the hotel featires on website states there isna gym and restaurant. But no information was provided. No information on check out times or welcome letter. Room service was just clean towels daily. No beds were made or bins emptied. Bed sheets and pillow cases were dirty when we checked in. Would not stay here again. Yes convenient location and room features were good. But everything else was not good.

It was a nice appartment, you could see the city, very spacious…the reception staff were polite…but needs to be more clean towels had stains on them and cockroach everywhere…the cleaning staff were very unprofessional…walked into the room while we were in the room…opened the bathroom door without knocking my mum was in the shower ….if they fix bit and pieces its in a great location, right opposite Westfield and other shops …it was safe cameras everywhere…
