It was quiet and thick curtains made for a dark room for good sleep. Breakfast homemade items were nice. Appreciated, but older people going downstairs a couple of times at night is precarious. Victorian touches (silverware...) are lovely but need to be practical too. The house is amazing with its cottage style garden and the attention to detail in the rooms is very high. The breakfast is fresh, natural, wholesome, and were possible homemade. A lovely touch. The garden is thoughtfully landscaped and secluded. Inside is beautifully decorated and furnished-as true to its origins as it can get. Attention to every detail is outstanding; from the homemade preserves and the silver service at breakfast to the claw foot bath to soak in. It is very clean.
