We did not have a car and there were not many amenities close by. The door key is a complicated electronic entry system. There is a lockbox, but that’s not how you get in. We could not figure it out. We couldn’t find VRBO’s entry instructions and no one was available to help. The hosts were in another country and did not reply. Their local backup was not answering despite us leaving 4 messages. Five hours later, at 1:30am, the local backup responded. By then we had given up and found a hotel room. After a stressful day of travel, the last thing you want is a host that is unavailable. In addition to the regular pre-check-out tidying up that all VRBO hosts ask, these hosts also expect guests to remove the bed linens and vacuum the carpets. The information booklet in the house even insinuates they’ll give you a poor rating if you don’t: “Our rating of you as a guest is based on the following … Place used sheets, pillowcases, towels and facecloths in the bath … Vacuum debris off the floor and carpets”. And this is despite the fact that you’re paying a cleaning fee in addition to the rental fee. Most hosts supply laundry detergent - not these hosts.Parking is challenging unless you have a smaller car. You can’t use the garage, so you have to park at the end of a laneway between the units, then do a multi-point turn when you want to leave. ##### Chris B. We had 3 adults and 3 kids and the 3 spacious bedrooms with large wardrobes with built in shelving (one room had a desk and chair too), 2 1/2 bathrooms (including fantastic large bath in main bathroom) plus laundry. The kitchen was fully equipped and lots of space for 6 at the dining table and in the lounge too. Off road parking for 2 cars was also appreciated. The house was warm and welcoming and surprisingly spacious - the bedrooms were ideal and it was really good to have three toilets! The only slight issue we had was figuring out the lock on Day 1\.
