Set directly across from Little Oneroa Beach, Aqua Sands, Studio 2 by Stay Waiheke offers a simple, comfortable base for couples or solo travellers wanting easy access to the water, fresh air, and the relaxed pace of beachside living close to Oneroa Village.  
  
The Space:  
  
Studio 2 sits on the first level beneath the owners’ holiday home, with its own entrance and a sheltered patio nestled into the greenery. The space has a calm, steady feel, with soft daylight coming through the sliding doors and the beach just across the road.  
  
Inside, the open-plan layout keeps everything practical and uncluttered. A comfortable king bed sits alongside a small lounge area, an easy spot to relax after a swim or settle in with a book before dinner. The kitchenette includes the essentials for simple meals: a small fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, plates, bowls, cutlery, and glasses.  
  
The patio works well as an outdoor sitting area, offering privacy and a quiet place to read, rest, or enjoy a drink at the end of the day.

There’s parking at the property, and Little Oneroa Beach is just across the road, so no need for shoes.  
  
Check-in is from 2pm, and check-out is 10:30am. Early or late check-out may be available for an additional fee, depending on bookings either side  
  
The Neighborhood:  
  
Aqua Sands | Studio 2 sits directly across from Little Oneroa Beach, known for its calm water, sheltered bay, and relaxed feel. The local dairy is only a short stroll away for takeaway coffees, snacks, and classic fish and chips, making day-to-day beach living effortless.  
  
A gentle coastal walk brings you into Oneroa Village, home to cafés, bakeries, restaurants, boutique shops, galleries, and Waiheke’s community cinema. It’s an easy, walkable stretch that keeps everything close without needing a car.  
  
Waiheke’s well-known food and wine spots are also nearby. Mudbrick and Cable Bay offer sea-view dining just over the hill, while The Heke provides a lively brewery setting with wood-fired mains and craft beers. The area blends beach simplicity with excellent dining within minutes of the studio.  
  
Getting Around:  
  
The Little Oneroa bus stop is a short walk from the studio, with routes running to Oneroa Village, Onetangi, and the Matiatia Ferry Terminal. Buses also stop near all major wineries, making wine tasting easy without a car.  
  
Hire cars, taxis, scooters, and e-bikes are available across the island. On-site parking is provided if you’re bringing a vehicle.  
  
Other Things to Note:  
  
The studio is set beneath the owners’ holiday home, with its own private entrance and outdoor area.  
  
Parking for Aqua Sands Studio 1 is up the top of a steep driveway, there is room to turn your car around at the top if you do a 3 point turn.  
  
Kitchen facilities are limited to a small fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, plates, bowls, cutlery, and glasses.  
  
Waiheke Island operates on rainwater tanks, and water is limited, especially during the drier months. Guests must be mindful of water use during their stay.  
  
Minimum stays apply:  
  
7 nights mid-December to mid-January  
  
3 nights on long weekends  
  
2 nights at all other times  
  
Interaction with Guests:  
  
The Stay Waiheke team are locals who love this island and are always happy to help with anything you need. We’re available seven days a week from 8:30 am to 5 pm, and for emergencies only, there’s an after-hours number so you’re always covered.

Very neat, tidy, modern tasteful studio.supplied every need simply. Small but very adequate. Coffee available at small store over the road.

#### Excellent location

Easy walk into the village. Bus stop not far. Comfy bed. One of the interior lights wasn’t working and the water glasses weren’t very clean. I didn’t love having to wash the dishes in the bathroom sink or knowing that the previous guest had washed them in the bathroom sink. I’d prefer to know the property manager resupplies the few plates, cups, cutlery etc. overall an excellent location wins here.
