Not a great neighborhood. To get to and from the hotel by foot you need to walk through a gauntlet of homeless people. The people we had to walk by were nice enough, but if you get the wrong group of homeless people it could get pretty uncomfortable. Both nights of my stay I awoke to a screaming match just outside of my door. The good news is the room came with free food... on the phone book on the bottom of the nightstand there was a half eaten chicken wing. Another plus was that I didn't have to wait for the hot water in the shower to come one... because it never did. If you have no other options and need a place to stay for a night you'll survive, but you won't enjoy one minute of your stay. There is security on the premises, and the night guard was very nice, so I guess that's the one real positive.
