Horrifying experience

Posted 16-Jan-2017
This hotel is located next to homeless shelter, after staying in the room for 5 minutes and all the noise from a party happening outside we decided to leave (even though it was 2am both my husband and I had drove 5 hrs from Jacksonville and was extremely exhausted and had no where else to go) we left. I had never felt so scared and unsafe in my whole life, this was by far the most horrifying experience I've ever had. I would life a full refund please.

Hotel from hell

Posted 16-Jan-2017
Next door to homeless shelter, drug use, cockroaches, broken tv, felt unsafe, unclean, homeless people everywhere being ran off by young security guy at front gate, barbed wire around fence. This hotel should not be on Expedia! It doesn't deserve 1 star. Don't stay here.

This hotel / motel is as bad as it gets.

Let me set the stage for you...They offer free condoms in the lobby for those that need them. The dirtiest, filthiest, most run down motel I've stayed at in over 30 years. The price may be cheap....but even at their low price....This place is not the place to stay.

Horrible

Place is a crack house. I did not even walk in my room and rebooked at another hotel. Avoid at all costs! There were people sleeping in the stair cases and the entire place smells of urine.

It is good for the price.

Pros: Easy traffic, free parking. Good Security.
Cons: Provide internet connection. Kill bugs.
Location: CNN, World of Coco-cola, aquarium, Olympic park
For travelers, it is good. Close to center of the city, you can cook at your room. The facilities are old, I am disappointed about the free wifi, it does not work. By the way, there are bugs in the room.

Worse Atlanta Stay Ever!

Posted 4-Jan-2017
First off Pine St. is the largest homeless location in downtown Atlanta. That's not listed anywhere when you book your hotel. So your constantly looking out to make sure your car is okay because of the heavy foot traffic on the streets. Secondly they have security for the grounds but they dress very normal and lack any professional or security skills. The office they worked in was a local hangout spot they only monitor in the day times no one is available at night. Thirdly the hotel itself was very unorganized they messed up my reservations blamed Expedia for it. They had my departure date scheduled for 3 days prior than the one I selected. I spoke with the front desk clerk and she never reassured me the situation was resolved. Fourth the hotel itself was disgusting the elevator didn't seem to be in good usage and smelled like urine. Large bags of trash were stack about 3ft high per floor. The majority of the residents seem to live at the facility and had no rules are regards to visitors. Under my bed had never been vacuumed or clean it was old lighters, trash, dust, candy paper and a dead bug. The furniture had stains on it and burns. The tv stand was dirty and dusty. The drawers for your clothing had never been wiped out as it appeared. The baseboards in the kitchenette area were decaying. The stove had particles of burnt food in the eyes. The over head lights all had dust and bugs in them. The bathroom sink leaked. The shower basebored was rubber and started to peel away

Do not stay here unless you have no other options

Posted 19-Dec-2016
I got to the hotel in the afternoon. The staff is friendly and helpful, but everything else is terrible. The room smells like mold and mildew. The WiFi doesn't work. There was a large amount of mildew and mold on the walls. The sheets were not clean, and the bed smelled like cigarette smoke and mildew, even in a non-smoking room.

AFFORDABLE STAY BUT...

Posted 19-Dec-2016
It wasn't the first time I've stayed at the Savannah Suites. In fact, it was one of my better stays. The hotel, with an obvious reputation for catering to a working and lower class clientele, appears to be making a slow rise to getting better and changing its bad reputation. At least this time I got a fairly clean and, seemingly, freshly- remodeled room. I was pleased about that and love the fact that the rooms come with a little kitchenette although the appliances need upgrading. Housekeeping details, while minimal, were at least better than before when I got only one towel for a 2-day stay. This time there were plenty for an overnight stay. Thus the reason why I say things are looking up. However, when I left the room and returned a short while later, my disappointment resurfaced. A flip of the bathroom switch revealed cockroaches scrambling to hide from the light near the shower. During a stay before, cockroaches were climbing the walls!!! My fire detector chirped incessantly and there was no replacement battery to be found so I slept without the security of a fire detector. Is that legal? As for the location, it's sketchy, very sketchy BUT I noticed this time that on-site security was better, more beefed up, more alert, more in place and friendly. Before, instead of feeling secure with the on-site security, I was afraid of THEM! Their attitude, incorrigible. Again, much better now. For the price, good. But, God please work to improve conditions and rift raft.

Zombie land

Posted 7-Dec-2016
This motel was just awful. It was really terrifying pulling up and you have to give your id to the security guard as if you are visiting a prison. People are walking up and down the street. It was scary. The hotel staff was ghetto and unprofessional. The room itself was something a dog would even refuse to live in. The curtains were torn, Tv had no remote, coffe pot looked like it hadn't been cleaned in 3 years and the shower had hair everywhere. I had to go to Walmart and get new pillows, disinfectant spray and wipes in order to stay in this room with my husband. I will never stay at this hotel ever again and wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
