Pretty Bad

Posted 4-Dec-2016
Not a great neighborhood. To get to and from the hotel by foot you need to walk through a gauntlet of homeless people. The people we had to walk by were nice enough, but if you get the wrong group of homeless people it could get pretty uncomfortable. Both nights of my stay I awoke to a screaming match just outside of my door. The good news is the room came with free food... on the phone book on the bottom of the nightstand there was a half eaten chicken wing. Another plus was that I didn't have to wait for the hot water in the shower to come one... because it never did. If you have no other options and need a place to stay for a night you'll survive, but you won't enjoy one minute of your stay. There is security on the premises, and the night guard was very nice, so I guess that's the one real positive.

O barato saiu caro.

Layover Spot

Posted 12-Nov-2016
Location: In the heart of downtown. An Uber to Publix and Walgreens was 5 bucks round trip.
To be honest it was not as bad as most made it seem. Yes there are a lot of homeless ppl out, but for the most part they don't bother you. There is 24hr security. They make sure any vehicle coming onto the property signs in.

Terrible location, run down, not clean.

Posted 7-Nov-2016
Pros: The bed was fine, and the plumbing worked. If you need a place to stay/live, it will do. The overnight security guard and office clerk were pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Dirty towel, broken furniture, stains on the walls and carpet, hole in the carpet, scary location.
Location: There seemed to be a soup kitchen around the corner, so if you need a free meal and don't mind waiting in line, this is the place for you.

Not a good area to stay in

Posted 5-Nov-2016
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Make sure the rooms don't smell like weed and smoke first, and they don't have spiders in them.
Location: Horrible location.
Booked a room, on pine street, not a safe area to stay. A lot of homeless people by the hotel, hotel smells like smoke all the time and weed and I ended up leaving the place and booking myself a room in the suburbs.

Okay for a budget

Posted 3-Nov-2016
Pros: Friendly staff, good security, plenty of parking, low priced, close to main roads and downtown
Cons: Cockroaches in the room a few times, sometimes street was very noisy and bed was uncomfortable
Location: Loads, 10 minute walk from downtown Atlanta where there is world of coca cola, Georgia aquarium, college football hall of fame, hard rock cafe, hooter
Overall the hotel was okay for what we paid. The reception staff and security were very friendly and helpful. The room we were staying is was in need of tlc. The hotel itself appears to be getting rooms upgraded one by one from the glances of other rooms we saw. House keeping was a little hit and miss. When they did come they polite and friendly so that wasn't so bad. Plenty of car parking and we had no trouble. The area around the hotel appears a little rough but there was no trouble. Me and my wife walked all round the streets near the hotel at various hours of the day and had no trouble. The bed in the room was not so comfortable though it was large. Good WiFi connection throughout the hotel. We got some cockroaches' but hotel dealt with it once I advised them.
