Our group included three 54-year-old friends and my 19-year-old daughter. The house was spacious and close to the venue (about 15 minutes in traffic).It’s located at a busy intersection across from a middle school, with a Circle K nearby. Expect city noise—whistles, sirens, traffic. The neighborhood felt safe during the day but was quiet and less active at night, with visible homelessness nearby.Parking was fine with space for 4–5 cars in the driveway. The layout was functional, with firm queen beds and oversized pillows. Two guests found their beds uncomfortable—one sagged noticeably.The kitchen was decent but lacked basics like a toaster and spatula. TVs in each room were great, though one remote didn’t work. Checkout was listed as “before 11,” but cleaning staff arrived at 10:25.After our stay, VRBO charged me 600 for a broken bed. The guest in that room (180 lbs) had complained it sagged. No misuse occurred. We’re respectful, middle-aged adults who were exhausted from walking 15,000 steps a day. If the bed broke from normal use, that reflects wear and tear—not negligence.We won’t rent here again and may choose a hotel next year. The property is very clean. But… it was not well suited for us. It would be perfect for a place to just sleep, but we planned on cooking. The kitchen is very spacious but not set up for cooking. There isn’t a single bowl-can’t make salad, pancakes etc. The dishes aren’t microwaveable so you can’t even reheat leftovers. There are no potholders. There are only 2 very flat pillows per bed, no blankets; only 1 towel per guest. The bedrooms have no place to put a suitcase. The owner was very accommodating for a late checkout. ##### Mary C. Stayed 3 nights in Jan 2023 ### 6/10 Okay #### Verified traveller Dec 30, 2024 Liked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy Disliked: Location #### Decent home, sketchy area, kitchen not great for cooking I used to live in downtown Atlanta so I don’t have issues with the city, but this house felt like it was in a slightly sketchy area. We had a homeless person knock on our door asking for food because the dinner we were making smelled good. The kitchen doesn’t have everything you need to cook with and the dishes aren’t dishwasher safe or microwavable safe. The house sleeps at least 8, but there’s not 8 of everything. For example there are only two plastic wine glasses and a few glasses. The living room also doesn’t seat 8, and it has a recliner that’s electric, but it doesn’t have the cord to plug it in and it’s in a permanent semi-reclined position. There’s nowhere to hang your towel in the primary bathroom, which was fairly dirty. There were plenty of hairs in the tub and water marks on top of the counter that looked like something round and wet was there. It clearly hadn’t been wiped down. The toilet seats in both bathrooms were loose. The trash hadn’t been picked up and it was already full from other renters. For some reason all closets were missing doors, including the laundry closet which had some exposed chipped tiles. On the bright side, after I figured out how to use the thermostat we didn’t need to use the space heaters (which were all in great condition and worked well). The gated area had enough room for three cars (two of which were SUVs). The beds were really comfortable (but they could use some thicker comforters). The place is beautiful, nice bright main area, ample sized bedrooms, big TVs, clean and modern. Each room had a separate heater/air conditioner which was nice. The location is great and convenient to downtown and highways. The only negative is the home is too “spartan” - there are no shelves, luggage racks, chairs or any place in the bedrooms to place your luggage or belongings; there were no towel racks or hooks in the bathrooms for towels (and we only had 4 towels for a 4 bedroom house); the kitchen could have used more utensils and glasses. All of these negatives are very easily remedied and if they are everything about the house is a 5+. ##### Judy S.
