Modern Apartment near Acropolis Peaceful Location

The apartment is modern and is in a safe,quiet street very close to the Acropolis and Plaka areas of Athens -you can walk there in 20 mins. It is close to the train stations of Petralona and Thissio (part of the Athens Metro -15 mins walk) and next to the bus stop that takes you to Syntagma and Omonia Square. The building has only 3 apartments ,has an elevator and it is located high on a hill (western slope of Phillopapou hill) with a pleasant outlook. An easy walk away just a few minutes and there are small tavernas, cafes, supermarket, banks and other shops in the neighborhood. It is on the 2nd floor overlooking a park and has an elevator. It is fully furnished with modern furniture and the kitchen is fully equipped.

Nice stay for Easter at Zois'

The appartement is confortable at a 15-20 minutes walk from the Akropolis. All is quite new and clean. The terrasse is very enjoyable for breakfast. A grocery, a bar and a restaurant are very close to the appartement. Welcome by Zois and Maria was very good. Much appreciated!

Nice appartment, ideally located.

We are a family with two children (8 and 14) and stayed for 3 nights at the appartment. The appartment is well located, we made almost everything on foot. The location is calm (for Athens). If you sit on the balcony you can hear the traffic from the road nearby, but it is not a main road and the noise is bearable (The crickets are loud to). Keep in mind that you are in a capital! Because of the mosquitos we kept all windows closed in the evening and during the night. The two sleeping rooms (one with a double bed and one with two single beds) and bathroom are at the back and there is also a door to this quarter, so during the night it is really calm. Up the street is the entrance to the park where you have a fine view at the acropolis and where it is very pleasing to sit in the evening (don't forget the mosquito repellent). For families with little children: There is a small gap in the balustrade on the right side to the wall. I informed the owner that a little child could easily fall through this gap. The owner was very alert and willing to close this gap as soon as possible so it shouldn't be a problem. A bakery is in 5 min on foot and a supermarket is in 10min on foot (the one nearby had closed his doors). We don't know about restaurants in the proximity because in the evening we ate at the appartment. We definetely recommend the appartment. One more tip for families: As you surely intend to visit the acropolis and the agora, you might be tented in buying the combined ticket giving access to 7 different sites (more or less interesting sites and except the acropole museum). Children from EU-citizens up to 18 years-old are free. There are no combined tickets for children, so you will have to queue to get the so-called zero-tickets (0 Euro) for each child and entrance. If the children are old enough they can go themselves to get these tickets but be prepared to show an ID with their age. Thats all. Enjoy Athens and the greek people. Un très agréable séjour à Athènes dans un appartement idéalement situé

Nous avons trouvé un appartement totalement conforme à l'annonce Abritel, bien entretenu, un accès sécurisé, parfaitement propre et très pratique et , de plus, climatisé. Tous les commerces sont à 5 mn (MyMarket, boulangerie, pharmacie, restaurants, ...). Le quartier est calme et bien situé par rapport au centre touristique d'Athènes. En moins de 15 mn à pied, par la colline, on est sur les sites de l'Agora et de l'Acropole et en 20 mn dans le quartier touristique de Monastirakis. En fait, presque tous les sites touristiques et les musées sont accessibles à pied. Nous recommandons chaleureusement cette location à tous ceux qui veulent découvrir Athènes.

bel appartement bien situé

nous avons passé une semaine dans cet appartement très agréable et très confortable, l'immeuble est tout neuf avec ascenseur. la literie est de bonne qualité, nous avons pu faire des courses au petit supermarché dans le quartier et acheter du pain frais tous les jours à la boulangerie située à un pâté de maison. nous avons également pris nos petits déjeuner sur la terrasse car le quartier est calme. on peut rejoindre l'acropole en 20 minutes à pied par la colline couverte d'oliviers, bref à recommander.

La location est vraiment très bien. Conformément à la présentation faite sur Abritel, elle est calme, spacieuse et bien placée. Le proprietaire Zois répond immédiatement à toutes les questions par mail et Maria est là pour vous accueillir. La location est très propre et en bel état. Le quartier est tranquille fout près d un parc idéal pour les footing ou la promenade.

Nous avons apprécié la situation de l'appartement proche des sites historiques et attractifs. Très bon accueil. Le fait qu'il y ait un garage dans ce petit immeuble a été un plus. Nous avons pu prendre nos petits déjeuner sur un grand balcon terrasse très agréable. L'équipement est parfait. Nous conseillons vivement.

Appartement très agréable, plus grand qu'indiqué dans l'annonce, très propre et bien équipé, très confortable pour quatre, bien situé (à 20/25 minutes à pieds de l'Acropole, dans un quartier calme); Grand balcon bien équipé. Garage pour la voiture, si la voiture n'est pas trop longue. Maria très ponctuelle, aussi bien à l'arrivée qu'au départ, a répondu à toutes nos questions. Nous recommandons vivement cet appartement pour visiter le coeur ancien d'Athènes

l'appartement est très agréable spacieux , tres propre . la decoration est neutre . les chambres sont au calme et la literie est bonne.. la cuisine est bien équipée: cafetière , grill pain four, vaiselle ,casseroles . nous avons souvent mangé à l'appartement il est bien situé à 20 mn a pied de l'entrée de l'acropole et 50 metres de la colline où on peut se promener . nous n'avons pas eu besoin des transports en commun et nous avons tout fait à pied heureusement car nous avons eu la greve des transports les commerces( boulangerie et épicerie)ainsi que les restaurants sont trés proches et le marché le vendredi à 2 pas. l'appartement peut être recommandé pour un séjour à Athenes et j'y reviendrai avec plaisir.

Very comfortable apartment in a quiet neighborhood. Many amenities, shops, supermarket, cafes and restaurants. The apartment was very clean, plenty of room, lovely balcony across the street from a school. There is a pedestrian walkway taking you to the Acropolis, Monasteraki and Plaka. The apartment is as advertised, easy and quick communication with the owner. I've been to Athens many times and I highly recommend this location.

Visiting relatives in Athens

This was a great apartment! I had constant contact with the owner and the description of the apartment was exactly as I found it. The walk to and from the train in Petralona was very doable and I never felt unsafe walking alone even after dark. This allowed me to take public transportation when meeting relatives on a daily basis or getting into the old town area to see the sites without having to take a taxi everywhere. Each morning I went out for a 40-50 minute exercise walk and could walk to the Akropolis area safely and easily. Loved being there and having all the space and amenities of home.

This lovely apartment is 2 minutes walk from wonderful restaurants and bars and about 15 to 20 minutes away from the acropolis on foot. It is well-located for train travel, too. We would highly recommend it.

Don't second guess yourself, book this awesome apartment for your vacation in Athens!!! My wife and I had a lovely stay here from start to finish. The owner Zios was kind enough to schedule a taxi for us from the airport which made it stress free for our first time visiting Greece. Upon arrival, Maria the cleaning lady was there to greet us, show us around the apartment, and hand over the keys. The apartment is just a short walk away to all the sights and sounds. It was nice coming back to a quiet neighborhood at the end of the day. We highly recommend the Valitsa restaurant, its a yellow tavern around the corner from the apartment. The food is authentic and to die for!

A lovely apartment in a great location for seeing the sights of Athens.

The apartment was in a great location just two Metro stops from Monastraki Square (it was a 5 minute walk from the apartment to the Metro). Communication with Zois was excellent from the moment we booked and the additional information document he provided was extremely useful indeed. The check in with Maria also went smoothly too and she was there to meet us and check us out. The apartment itself was very clean and well equipped and accessible within walking distance of the Acropolis. The local area was very quiet, with the only downside being that a few local amenities were closed due to the bank holiday, but that was simply the timing of our visit in mid August. We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment and Athens were great. Thank you Zois (and Maria)!

Clean apartment; great neighborhood

The apartment was exactly as described-very clean and good neighborhood. Lots of good restaurants, coffee and grocery stores within 10 minute walk and key sites within 20-25 minute walk. Beds were comfortable. Washing machine was very helpful to have (and clothes lines were set up and easily accessible outside bedrooms). Zois was very responsive and Maria (caretaker) was very nice and the apartment was very clean. The AC was needed and worked perfectly. The park across the street has turtles and we really enjoyed seeing them eating in the morning as we walked to Parthenon or the montastiraki markets (their food bowls are near the fence and someone feeds them there). The price was very reasonable for the apartment.
