It's old but taken care of, which is why it is hardly suitable for children under the age of 12\. Three generations have lived there and have enjoyed being in the historical center of Athens right among the most interesting archaeological sites in walking distance, mostly around the corner: the Acropolis with the Acropolis Museum, the Theatre of Dionysos, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Temple of Zeus, the Panathenaic Stadium, the Ancient Agora, just to mention a few. We were able to easily walk to all these places. We got on the Hop on/Hop off bus at the cruise terminal and rode the bus to stop 3 which was very close to this property. The apartment was well maintained, clean and comfortable and the host was amazing-- responsive and helpful! Although we were close to all these things, the location was still quiet. The property is in the center of Plaka and has a perfect location for sightseeing. It is also near a hub subway station of Acropolis which allows easy travel to the port Piraeus and shopping places. Authentic greek cuisine places are neaby. The property itself is very clean and has everything one may need . The host is very friendly, helpful and always ready to assist. Excellent communication from the host.
