La chambre est sale , la salle de bain est pire,les bâtiments délabrés ,nous sommes restés 1 heure au lieu de 3 jours. I have only praise for this venue. The room are comfortable and just beautifull and colorfull. It is well kept, clean, managed by the friendliest people I have ever met. People from surrounding venues come here in the afternoon and evening to spend some time in their wonderfull courtyard. They took the best of care of me and even provided an excursion to Abou Simbel when the one that I booked before failed..and at one six of the price of the other. Food is standard tourist menu but if you talk to the chef, he will bend over backwards to make you what you want. Of all the places I stayed in Cairo, Luxor , Dalhabia and Luxor, this was by far the best. Go out, dont step in the dong and talk to the vendors. I made a lot of friends among them and we earned mutual respect. Stayed here the night before starting a Nile Cruise. It's an unusual experience-the transfer from the airport eventually puts you in a tuk-tuk to get you there! Kato Waidi Nubian House is magical. The beautiful Nubian artwork in the Nubian Village and through this affordable, modest hotel inspired my creativity. I enjoyed the laid back friendly atmosphere. I felt at home. And the staff was extremely accommodating. One of the special benefits is the affordable airport transport. Kato Waidi Nubian House sits on the River Nile. It was a blessing to journey down the Nile on the boat into town to see the sunrise and feel the song of Ancient people through the whispers of the River Nile. My stay at Kato Waidi Nubian House lives in my heart. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a comfortable environment that is child friendly. Tipping is part of the Egyptian tourist culture and I found myself wanting to share because of the profound humility and generosity of everyone I met. I really enjoyed my stay at this family-run hotel in the Nubian village. The place was clean, the family was very kind, and the location couldn’t be better — right in front of the Nile, with beautiful trees in the dining area that kept the space fresh and gave it a natural, charming atmosphere. It’s also right next to the dock where the small boats arrive, and in the center of the village, so everything is within walking distance. Just keep in mind that cars don’t go into the center, so if you arrive by car you’ll need to take a tuk-tuk for the last stretch. Booked two rooms. One of the rooms had a thousand dead and alive bugs all over the room. And the bedding had a large stain on the sheets. When we spoke with the owner he sprayed poison in the room and said wait 2 minutes then you can go in. I told him it was unsafe to stay in the room due to the poison they sprayed which would be all over the bedding and in the air. Asked for another room and he said their was none available. We ended up having to rebook at another hotel a hour after we arrived at this hotel. Hotel refused to refund the money. Avoid booking at this hotel. Disgusting. We liked the uniqueness of this area, Nubian Village, and the colorful of the properities. We stayed for two nights. The hostel is located on the Nile river that provides scenery views of the surrounding nature. The food was good. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. The only issue, there was no internet in the room, just in the common area.
