(1,362 reviews) Have stayed here quite a few times but this one was not as good. Of the 3 lifts one was working and at breakfast things could have been better organised. There was a large queue to get in but many of the tables were unavailable due to needing clearing rather than having people on them. There were two coffee machine yet only one worked. Food at the Grill was OK but could have been a bit better. The room was clean and the bed comfy. The staff were good and the live music in Merlin’s bar was a nice touch. The room itself was good value but other areas are letting things down. (1,006 reviews) The hotel location was great the staff nice and the price fair. However when we stayed Easter weekend there was a celebration thing on. The sound check started just after 8am on the Sunday, it sounded like a full brass band accompanied by drums. Surely those not staying for this event could have been housed further from the noise. It was extremely loud and very disappointing. We got up dressed and left. I’ve never written a negative review before but the noise was something else it was happening right next next to our room.
